After years competing at the summit of the Durham Sunday League, Hylton CWFC kick off an exciting new chapter this Sunday as they make their official debut in the Northumberland League Division 5.
While entering a new division brings fresh challenges and unfamiliar opponents, Hylton’s core values remain unchanged. Placed in Division 5, the team steps onto the pitch with clear ambitions: to fight for all three points in every single fixture and to play an exciting, attractive style of football.
Their opening test comes against Westerhope Utd Blacks at Castle View Enterprise Academy. With hard work throughout pre-season and a point to prove in a new league structure, Hylton will be eager to set the tone early and secure a strong start to the campaign.

The wait is finally over — it’s the first game of the season! After a three-month break, Hylton CWFC travel away to face Jarrow Youth Blues to kick off their Russell Foster Youth League Division 1 campaign.

It has been a long summer break, giving the squad plenty of time to rest, reset and prepare. There is a real sense of optimism around the side, and they will be aiming to hit the ground running and lay down an early marker for the season ahead. A strong performance Saturday would set the perfect tone — three months of anticipation ends here, and Hylton are ready to show what they’re about.

What a way to end the season! 🤩 Our final game saw us secure a thrilling 3-2 victory against Wear United.
This result wraps up our campaign, and we finish the season in 8th position — a solid place that reflects all the hard work, improvement, and commitment shown by the whole squad week in, week out. We’ve grown so much as a team, learned plenty, and created memories we’ll keep for a long time.
