Match Report:
Hylton CWFC U15 vs NUFC Blue Star Magpies
Yesterday's Russell Foster Youth League clash was a game of two distinct halves, ending in a hard-fought 1-1 draw.
The first half belonged to the visitors from Newcastle. NUFC Blue Star started strongly, dominating possession and territory. They were rewarded for their pressure with a goal, heading into the break with a deserved lead and leaving Hylton with work to do.
Whatever was said in the Hylton dressing room at halftime worked. Hylton CWFC emerged a different team for the second half, turning the tables and taking control of the game. The midfield battle was crucial, and Hylton's Ollie L was immense. His tireless work rate ensured he was involved in virtually every attacking opportunity Hylton created.
As the half wore on, Hylton's dominance intensified. The team created several massive chances to equalize and then win the game in the dying minutes. However, despite getting into excellent positions, they were unable to find the back of the net again, and the final whistle blew with the scores level.
A special mention must go to Ollie L, whose exceptional all-around performance was acknowledged by the opposition manager, who rightly awarded him the Man of the Match award.🏆
The team would like to extend a huge thank you to our match sponsor, Gary West Gas Services 🔥, for their continued support. Your backing is invaluable to the club and the development of these young players.
Looking ahead to next week, Hylton faces a long away journey to take on Richmondshire Pro Player U15 RPP U15. We go again!💪💪🔴⚪️⚽️
