DNA Hawkshead summer social '26. Mint! 70km with 1689m of ascent...and gravity gave it all back! 1 toe-rope, 1 trailside fix; miserable dog walkers 1: happy MTBers 12.😁

18⁰, light winds, sunny. Dropping off a granite slab onto sublime, dusty singletrack through pine resin-scented forest I had a thought: 'This is as good as riding gets in the UK'. A perfect day's riding! One of the reasons why we keep coming back. Tick 🕷 check now like! 😆

Chose to explore around the Cloich Hills as an experiment in battery management - eco (almost) all the way! 50km, 800m climbing on half the battery. 😁 Managed to manufacture another run down Falla Brae on the way back to the van too.

Well, it looked like Spring even if the temperature was clinging onto winter. A canny explore over into Wensleydale. Varied: fast, flowy, fun, rocky, climby, cool.
