ENTRIES OPEN FOR MATCHPOINT #40 FULWOOD OPEN

YOU are meant to slow down by the time you reach 40 - but nobody told MatchPoint. We hit the big 4-0 this September, but we’re still growing bigger, getting faster, playing more squash and generally still running round like a supercharged toddler.

Fulwood in Sheffield is the host club for our big anniversary event, in a city which has forged so many steely squash reputations over the decades. Nick Matthew, for example, may have won three British Open titles and three World titles - but how would he have fared in the heat of a best-of-three one-day MatchPoint monrad?! We may never know - although he is welcome to find out.

In the meantime, the rest of our merry band of MP mavericks will be sharpening their rackets ahead of the Fulwood fiesta on SUNDAY September 20th. We have four courts in action throughout our usual graded events in what will be our 11th Yorkshire event at our 27th new club.

The Matchpoint Express is rocking and rolling into the Cumbrian market town on Saturday, September 12th - a perfect date for all squash fanatics to fine-tune their game and perfect their fitness (ahem!) ahead of the new season.

With all three courts in action throughout the day, this event is a great chance to blow away those summer holiday cobwebs and get back to your lean machine best (stop laughing at the back).

Matchpoint’s fifth-ever Cumbrian event promises to be a cracker, with a warm welcome guaranteed from players and spectators alike. It’s our 26th new host club and our 39th event in England (& Scotland)!
