☀️ 2026 SUMMER LEAGUES - PLAYOFFS☀️

The playoffs return to Tynemouth on Tues 8th Sept, as our top 4 teams will face off in one final night of squash to claim the 2026 Summer League title, with 3 of the 4 contenders aiming to get their hands on the trophy for the first time!

The semi-finals start simultaneously at 7pm, and will be as follows:

[1] Tynemouth Vikings v [4] Consett
[2] Westoe v [3] Eldon

The 2 winning teams will then take to the court from approximately 8.30pm in the final!

Will Tynemouth's return to the summer be a triumphant one? Can Westoe finally win summer silverware after 7 previous attempts in the playoffs? Will Eldon repeat their heroics of 2024, or can Consett win it all in their debut summer season!?

We have our Summer 2026 top 4 confirmed, as the league phase comes to a close!

Tynemouth Vikings take top spot and the number 1 seed in the playoffs, just 1 point ahead of Westoe in 2nd. Eldon reach the playoffs for the 3rd year in a row, while Consett take the 4th and final spot in their debut summer season, pipping Tynemouth Romans on match wins.

MATCHPOINT #43 NORTON OPEN - ENTRIES OPEN

FORGET all the tatty witches hats and cheap scary outfits - what better way to celebrate Halloween than with a monster MatchPoint day at Norton?

We return to the Teesside club for the second time on Sat Oct 31 - and it promises to be a real squash spectre-cal.

With four glass-back courts in action throughout the day, and up to 60 MatchPointers in action, expect a real fright to the death in our best-of-3 monrads. Once again entries will be ranked to their SquashLevels across a minimum of four graded events, so everyone has more than a ghost of chance to spirit up a trophy.

Norton is a small friendly club which is easily defendable from all four sides from any possible zombie invasion (please set your string tension accordingly), so this is the perfect venue for the perfect day.

Fancy dress is optional for MP #43 this All Hallows’ Eve, although if previous Matchpoint events are anything to go by, scary masks will not be required in the majority of cases.

Get your entries in quick - it would be a real own-ghoul to miss this one.

MATCHPOINT #39 KENDAL - TOP SEEDS

We will have an array of world-class talent on display at Kendal Squash & Racketball Club next Saturday, as three top-150 players battle it out for the Kendal Open title and their split of the £500 prize pool.

Patrick Rooney, Owain Taylor and Will Salter are no strangers to MatchPoint, having amassed 9 appearances and 5 titles between them. But they won't have it all their own way, with challenges from the likes of Ben Hetherington and Cai Younger sure to keep them on their toes!
