Alongside our junior teams competing in County cups, our senior teams are also in full swing. Our women's 60 team won against The East of Scotland in Edinburgh last weekend by sets and followed up with a 3-1 victory over Lancashire at DL Teesside today. 𝟏𝟎 & 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐮𝐩 🎾👏

A fantastic effort from the squad, finishing as runners-up in the 10 & Under County Cup after a competitive series of matches, recording two strong victories.

Match Results:
• Northumberland: 4–2 Win
• Cumbria: 6–0 Loss
• Isle of Man: 5–1 Win

The team showed great resilience and character throughout the competition, responding strongly after their only defeat to secure an impressive second place overall.

Well done to all players, as well as parents and coaches, for an excellent campaign and a great display of county tennis.

Two outstanding team displays:
💥 6-0 win vs South Scotland
💥 5-1 win vs East Scotland

The effort, teamwork, attitude and determination shown by every single player was incredible. We are so proud of how the girls represented D&C - playing with confidence, energy and togetherness from start to finish.

One more big game tomorrow as we face Northumberland in the final 🏆

𝙲𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚝𝚢 𝚄𝚗𝚍𝚎𝚛 14𝚜 𝚃𝚎𝚗𝚗𝚒𝚜 𝚃𝚎𝚊𝚖 𝙵𝚒𝚗𝚒𝚜𝚑 𝚁𝚞𝚗𝚗𝚎𝚛𝚜-𝚄𝚙 𝚒𝚗 𝙳𝚛𝚊𝚖𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚌 𝚃𝚒𝚝𝚕𝚎 𝙳𝚎𝚌𝚒𝚍𝚎𝚛

The County Under 14s tennis team produced a strong campaign in a competitive group of five teams, finishing 2nd overall.
The squad recorded three impressive victories:
• 4-2 win against Cumbria
• 4-3 win against North of Scotland
• 4-2 win against Northumberland
Everything came down to the final match against South of Scotland, with first place on the line. The team went into the last two doubles matches tied at 2-2. Unfortunately, South of Scotland took both doubles rubbers, resulting in a 4-2 defeat for our county side.
Despite the narrow loss in the title decider, the team’s three wins from four matches secured a well-deserved runners-up position.
The performance throughout the competition highlighted the squad’s talent, fighting spirit, and potential.

Congratulations to all the players and coaches on an excellent tournament!

Kicking things off with U14 Girls 🤩

What a fantastic weekend for our U14 girls at the County Cup in Boston, competing in a very tough qualifying group. We couldn’t be prouder of every single player.

Each player gave their all on court, battling through a series of close matches filled with big moments, both individually and as a team.

This weekend brought many valuable lessons but here’s our top three:
🔥 Decisions aren’t always made by coaches, players share responsibility in making the right choices for themselves and the team.
🔥 Openly sharing thoughts and feelings helps us grow, support one another, and build a more positive, successful environment.
🔥 Staying true to yourself and your values matters more than any result on the court.

This group is on an exciting journey, and their continued learning and development will lead them to the success they’re working towards.

Well done, girls! You should be incredibly proud of everything you achieved this weekend!

What an incredible weekend for our young stars! We had four teams take to the courts, showing determination, teamwork, and a real love for the game.

Our boys battled brilliantly to finish 4th and 5th, with both groups earning fantastic wins along the way 👏

Our girls were outstanding, securing 3rd and 6th place with some superb performances and great fighting spirit 🌟

For many, this was the very start of their competitive tennis journey - and they embraced every moment. From first points to big rallies, the courage and enthusiasm on display were something to be proud of!

These experiences are what build confidence, resilience, and a lifelong passion for the sport 🎾
