Fulltime result Vipers 2 Consett 5

Not the result we wanted today but we move on and go again next week with another away trip in the league.

We started the game well today and found ourselves in front when Harley slotted home from close range after a goal mouths scramble from a lovely Keegan corner.

Consett scored a minute later with a defensive mistake gifting them a goal 1-1 and not long after that they took the lead and it was 2-1 Consett half time.

The lads never really got going in the second half and we found our self getting beat 5-2 until a quick free kick taken by Keegan put Lucas in and with a onrushing keeper cooly lobbed him from about 25 👏👏

And that was the game finished, disappointing but well learn and improve as a team from that.

🏆🏆Man of the match today went to Oliver, some fantastic recovery runs for the team today along with some crucial interceptions and all round hard work effort today .. well done Olly 👏👏🏆🏆

Today’s the day, the first league game of the new season and it sees the boys travel to Consett to take on the Deagons.

Fingers cross the lads can kick on from a promising last couple of games and bring the 3 points back home to hopefully start another fantastic season 🤞🤞

This week see the loads play out first league game of the season as we travel to Consett to face Consett Dragons, this will be the first meeting between the 2 teams so hopefully the lads can put in a good performance and start the season off in style 🤞🤞

This week we start a new chapter in a new league with the season finally here.

It’s going to be an interesting season for the lads this year, im sure there will be plenty of laughs, tears, tantrums and highs along the way but as long as the boys give it their all and fight for each other every week I’m sure we’ll have another fantastic seaso.

What a way to sign off pre season with a fantastic win for the boys, we play some cracking football today and very much so deserved the win.
