As we enter our 30th year of operating, it was great to welcome back to the circuit the original owner and force behind getting Warden Law operational - Ian Lawson.

A Short History:
June 1996 saw the original Warden Law tarmac laid, but the concept had started a couple of years earlier with Ian running activities for corporate entertainment events. This included karts on a carpark at Nissan and on an old karting circuit at Felton in Northumberland.

Ian continued to develop the circuit and in 1997, the McLaren Mercedes Champions of the Future event raced at Warden Law.

Over the years Ian had the circuit, further facilities were added and a healthy leisure karting business was built.

In 2009/2010 symptoms of MND resulted in Ian deciding to sell Warden Law which happened in January 2011 with Guy Wilks, a local rally driver, buying the business.

Jump to 2019 and the circuit was now under the ownership of Matthew Hunter and Family who had a vison to get Warden Law back on the professional race calendar (something that had forgone the circuit a number of years previous).

After considerable investment and work, mixed with a Covid Closedown, September 2020 saw professional racing return, in the shape of the Wera Tools British Kart Championships.

2020 to present day has seen further investment and development as the vison of the new Warden Law takes shape, with a reprofile, new tarmac and multiple new facilities..... and the work continues.....
