Started the season in the best way possible and fully deserved the 3 points

Hard work in pre-season has paid off because we looked sharp from the off and we competed for each other

Things went our way today and Fin getting us the early goal gave us the momentum to go on and dominate the game in all areas of the pitch

What was particularly pleasing to see was how we won the midfield battle. Centre mid isn’t a position you can hide in. You have to be prepared to put your body in and be brave and the amount of turnovers we won today was the main reason why we spent so long in their half

No targets this year. I demand 3 things.

1. Work hard for me and Amy
2. ⁠Work hard for each other
3. ⁠Enjoy your football

If we stick to those principles we’ll have a good season

Scoreline didnt really reflect how the game ended. Wind was a huge factor in the first half where we were caught out and Seaton took a 4-0 lead into half-time.

Positive encouragement to the lads saw them come out a different team.

A few new faces in the squad this season and they did themselves proud, settling in well and showing promising signs for the games ahead.

POTM was split this week between Elliott & Lennox, all the lads put a shift in today. We are all very proud of them.

Wearside U10 Purples,

Purples played their very first match as a team, some really impressive football on display for their first game, narrowly being edged out by a good team in the end.

Great things to come

First match of the new season for U13 Navy today saw us travel to Hartlepool to face a very challenging opposition. Despite the result, the lads gave their all, and can be proud of their performance.

It wasn’t our day today against South Shields Harton & Westoe Juniors. The Golds got off to a sluggish start, with the early kick-off and return to school perhaps having a bigger impact than expected. After going behind early, we struggled to find our rhythm and were beaten comfortably.

But football is all about learning, improving and bouncing back! 💪⚽ Next week is a new chapter and another opportunity to put things right.

A huge thank you to all the parents, aunties and grandparents for your continued support from the sidelines — it’s hugely appreciated! 👏

What a fantastic way to start the season with a very convincing win! We had so much energy and fight today against good opposition. We asked the boys to make sure they got plenty of shots away and they certainly did!

There were great performances all over the field. Jude made some big saves and distributed out really well. The defenders were solid and made some good tackles. The midfielders ran, passed alms got some fantastic crosses in all game. Strikers pressed hard and were a nuisance up front.

Great from every one of the lads today, so proud of them all. You could really see what it meant to them at full time. 👏👏👏

First game of the season and our first win under our belt! Hard fought win today from the girls who hard to battle hard, concentrate till the end, and show great desire on a very difficult pitch!

We fell behind early on, but we didn’t let our heads drop and kept pushing forward looking for an equaliser. We couldn’t really get the ball down like we like too and play as the pitch was like concrete and a small 9 a side pitch so space was limited.

Gracie got us back in the game with a well taken goal from a brilliant assist from Amira.

Second half we came out strong and pinned the opposition in their half, chance after chance came and we thought it was going to be one of them days where we just couldn’t find a winner! Luckily for us, Isla put us ahead with a lovely finish from her after some great hold up play from Gracie.

We defended our lead well for the last ten minutes and got our first 3 points on the board.

Today wasn’t about playing nice football it was about digging in and getting a win which the girls did!

Joint player of the game went to Penelope and Gracie. The pair of them worked so hard for the team today, drove us forward and were strong all game! Well done you two 👏
