The Foundation of Light U17s will be looking for new players to join us for the 2026/27 season.

Depending on interest and numbers, we will be hosting a series of trials ahead of the new season to welcome players at a high level as we continue in the RFYL Premier Divsion.

It’s the final game of the season this weekend as we make the trip to Washington Hub to face Washington Athletic. 🏟

While it hasn’t been the season we had hoped for, this fixture marks an important moment for the lads, their final league game at youth level ⚽️

There’s a real determination in the group to finish strong, give everything, and leave it all out on the pitch one last time together. A chance to enjoy it, compete, and sign off the season in the right way 💙

It’s our penultimate game of the season and our final home fixture as we welcome Peterlee Helford to Downhill.🏟

In the reverse fixture, we suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat in a game we felt we could have taken something from. Saturday gives us the perfect opportunity to put that right and get a bit of revenge on home soil.

We travel to Whitburn and Cleadon this Saturday looking to end our run of defeats after what has been a challenging season for a number of reasons.

Back in October, we came out on top in the reverse fixture with a 4-2 victory, and we’ll be hoping for a repeat this weekend.

We return to home turf this Saturday as we take on Washington Athletic.

With just four games remaining in the season, the lads are determined to finish on a high as they approach the final chapter of their youth football journey.

Commitment, pride and togetherness will be key as they look to make every minute count between now and the end of the season.

A big road trip awaits us as we make our longest away journey of the season to face Witton Park in RFYL Prem Division.

We recorded a 6–0 win earlier in the campaign, but the focus now is on producing a strong performance on the road with hope of bringing all 3 points back.
