😍 Wishing all of our supporters, participants and staff a very Happy Father's Day!

⚽️ Congratulations to Our Lady Queen of Peace, who were crowned winners after defeating Newker in the final of our girls’ football tournament. 🏆👏

Twelve teams competed throughout the day, showcasing plenty of skill, determination and teamwork, with Riverside and Eppleton also impressing as they reached the semi-finals.

The event provided valuable opportunities off the pitch too, with students from Sunderland College officiating matches as part of their work experience and gaining hands-on experience in a live sporting environment.

Today’s tournament formed part of our Together Through Sport campaign and Get Girls Playing Month, helping to create more opportunities for girls to enjoy football, build confidence and develop a lifelong love of sport.

We’ll be attending the Op COURAGE NHS Open Day later this month, supporting veterans and their families with information on Foundation of Light health, wellbeing and community programmes.
