Get SLOW results…
Ok so, this may seem like the most ‘unsexy’ concept ever but hear me out! 🗣
You see, while I can show my clients how to get quicker results, I find that there’s a downside in trying to get your ‘dream body’ in a short period of time…
❌TOO MUCH PRESSURE.
You’d go all in. No days off! You eliminated ALL unhealthy foods. You’d drink so much water, no alcohol. You’d try to do everything right.
But then what happens!? What about when life gets in the way? Because IT WILL.
Well, you’d BURNOUT. And end up back at square one 😣
Why? It was too much to change all at once.

There will be days where you won’t feel like exercising. There will be days your energy and mood isnt at top peak🥴
Should you still move your body on those days? Absolutely yes✅
Should you push through a heavy session for the sake of it? Absolutely not❌
It is important that we stay flexible within our program (that’s also another reason why you need a program and not random workouts), to a degree that we are able to adjust it within reason on days or weeks where life just happens.
Your body needs movement, especially in times where you might not necessarily feel like it - is probably when you need it most! 🌻
However pushing through a heavy session when you are already low on energy might not be the best approach. Strip down the weight, do a de-load day or week, focus on some accessory work, or simply just go for a walk instead and take a rest day.
More does not always euqal better results and the real progress happens when you are able to listen to your body and support it in a way that works in all areas❤️
Remember fitness should be enabling you to create a better lifestyle, not putting more stress on you by following another quick fix program that leaves you feeling guilty for taking a day off.

WHY DO WE EVEN WANT TO USE RESISTANCE BANDS IN THE GYM?🤷🏻♀️🤔
Resistance bands have a variety of uses:
🤩 To build strength - each band exerts a particular amount of force on your muscles when stretched and can be used in both upper and lower body training.
🤩 To improve mobility - resistance bands are a great way to help you improve your flexibility, but you can also use them improve joint mobility.
🤩 For rehabilitation - bands have proved themselves essential for aiding recovery and are especially useful when it comes to working on hip, shoulder and knee injuries.
🤩 For weightlifting - resistance bands are also used in weight training. Wrapped around the ends of a weight bar, they make exercises more challenging so you can level up your one-rep max. Equally, they can be used with dumbbells for a similar reason.
🤩 For pull ups - resistance bands can also help you build up to doing pull ups. Loop them around the pull up bar and place your foot or knee inside the band to support your weight as you train.
I use bands in my warm-ups to activate the muscles that will need to be recruited in the upcoming workout. If I know I am going to work on my chest, I would activate each muscle on that area using a band to perform a few repetitions 🤸🏻♂️
I love using long resistance bands for the upper body and “booty” bands for the lower body movement preparation. To get the glutes and legs ready for the upcoming session, I normally do a round of exercises such as: crab walks, kickbacks, gluten bridges etc.
I've always been recommending them to my clients as an amazing warm-up to get their muscles activated before a run or intense activity 😍

Look, people CAN get fit quick. But ask yourself, does it matter how fast someone gets in shape if they can’t sustain results few months later? Hmm, not worth it if you ask me.

The results might be slightly slower, but you get to keep the results potentially for life. All without the stress and misery of chasing overnight results.

The ONLY way to make lasting change is to make that thing a PRACTICE.
❌You don't magically wake up and love your body one day after decades of negative self talk.
❌You don't love meditation the first 10 times (or even 100 times) you do it.
❌You don't get good at working out and build a six pack in six weeks.
❌You don't suddenly lose weight after 10+ years of feeding your body garbage.
❌You don't snap your fingers and become a millionaire after years of being broke.
❌You don't mysteriously escape from anxiety.
If you want change, it has to become a daily effort.
It doesn't have to be a TON of effort. 15-30 mins/day for MOST habits and behaviors is enough.
Your willpower is only as strong as your ability to execute, day in, and day out. REGARDLESS of what your emotions say about you.
Now it's time to stop wishing and time to start taking daily action. With the right structure in your training and diet plan, you are able to achieve SO 👏🏻MUCH 👏🏻MORE!
