⚠️ SESSION CANCELLED – EXTREME HEAT ⚠️
Following the latest weather guidance and the forecast temperatures of 35°C and above, we have made the difficult decision to cancel today’s Football Club for Kids session.
This decision has not been taken lightly. Whilst we always aim to keep sessions running wherever possible, the combination of extreme temperatures and training on an Astro pitch, which absorbs and retains heat, creates conditions that are not suitable for young children to participate in safely.
As many of our members are as young as 4 years old, we have a responsibility to ensure that both our children and coaching staff are protected from unnecessary risks associated with heat exposure, including dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.
We appreciate that we have made this decision early in the day. However, we are following guidance from the County FA and monitoring the latest weather forecasts. We hope you will appreciate that giving families as much notice as possible is better than making a last-minute decision closer to the session start time.
The safety and wellbeing of our members will always be our highest priority, and after reviewing the forecast and guidance available, we believe cancelling today’s session is the correct decision.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. To help make up for the missed session, you are welcome to attend one of our sessions on Saturday or Sunday, when the weather is expected to be significantly cooler.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
