Chaddesley Ravens 0-3 Boldmere St Michaels

We travelled to Chaddesley this morning in the central Warwick open cup, in which we was runners up last year.
Chaddesley beat us convincingly in the other cup competition last year, the only team to do so in normal time, so we knew this was a tough draw for us.
On a really poor pitch, we told the lads to play areas today and they listened. Not ideal losing Theo and Joe in the warm up, but we had a job to do.
Although we created numerous chances, it wasn't until the stroke of HT that we broke the deadlock, Dan slotting neatly home

Second half the boys knuckled down battled hard and made the game safe. Tait and Finn both finishing well to secure the tie

Great performance again in the middle for Kyron. Worked his socks off in there and won his duels

Finn 🏆- What a goal and a constant threat. Full of pace and power and deserved goal

Up the Boldmere

Boldmere St Michaels 5-2 Coventry Sphinx

MJPL Football returned to the Amber Arena this morning.
Boldmere looking to start the new season positively and they did.
First half the lads were composed on the ball and created numerous chances.
We take a few of those chances and cruising going into half time
5-0 HT
Credit to Coventry they came out second half and made it difficult for us. Boldmere never really got going in the 2nd half and plenty to work on in training this week.
3 points though and a good start to the new MJPL season
