Busy Friday for our Streetly Teams!

It was a busy day of tennis for our Streetly, teams competing home and away.

Warwickshire Daytime Mixed League (Home)
A tough match against a strong Solihull Arden side saw us narrowly lose 3-5 in sets. Well done to Derek, Neil, Nicki and Cath for battling hard throughout.

Staffordshire League (Away)
Our Men's B team travelled to Albert and came away with a hard-earned 2-2 draw. Unfortunately, Paul & Joel were unable to play the second rubber due to injury. Well played to Matt, Paul, Joel and Chris, and we all wish Paul a speedy recovery.

Birmingham League (Home)
A packed clubhouse watched some fantastic tennis from our home teams:

👏 Streetly Men's 5 defeated David Lloyd Great Barr 3-1 with a great team performance from Ethan, Mikey, Mike and Tony.

👏 Streetly Ladies 4 fought hard against a strong Solihull side to secure an excellent 3-1 victory. Well done to Suz, Nicky, Holly and Gill.

A huge thank you to everyone who came down to support the teams. It was fantastic to see so many members at the club creating such a great atmosphere.

We are incredibly proud of everyone at Streetly Tennis Club, but it's always special to recognise those who go above and beyond by volunteering their time and effort to make a real difference.

It was a pleasure to recognise Matt and Emily Brennan, who have given us all the enjoyment of the Streetly Champagne Breakfast – a fantastic event that brings the club together and provides a wonderful start to the tennis season.

Alongside their volunteering, Matt and Emily are both active social and team players, proudly representing Streetly Tennis Club both on and off the court.

We were delighted that they were chosen to represent Streetly at the Volunteers' Day held during the Lexus Birmingham Open at Edgbaston Priory Club, a fitting recognition of their commitment and contribution to our club community.

What a great night at Streetly watching Villa become Europa League Champions! 🏆

The club was absolutely packed out, the beer was flowing, pizzas were ordered in, and the atmosphere was brilliant from start to finish.

The match was streamed live on our big screen in the clubroom and on the TV in the bar, with members and guests enjoying every minute of Villa’s incredible 3-0 win.
A fantastic evening bringing everyone together for live sport at the club.

Up the Villa!
