Presentation night for Sutton United Tigers U10s 🐯⚽️

A brilliant evening celebrating a fantastic season with a great group of boys.

The results speak for themselves. Competing all season at the highest level in the league, winning the Winter Cup 🏆 and reaching all three cup finals is a huge achievement. Every player should be proud of what they’ve accomplished.

What makes this group special though is their attitude. They’ve worked hard for each other, shown real commitment to learning, embraced every challenge and continued to improve week after week. Development has always been the focus, helping each player progress, gain confidence and become a better teammate as well as a better footballer.

Most importantly, they’re a great bunch of lads who have built strong friendships and are growing into lovely young men. It’s been a pleasure watching their journey this season.

Tonight was about recognising their effort, progress and achievements. From tomorrow, the focus shifts to the next stage of their development as we prepare for the move to U11s.

Well done, boys. Enjoy the memories from a brilliant season. You deserve every bit of recognition. 💚⚽️👏🏆

A massive well done to Rudy and Josh for sharing the Fans’ Vote 👏

Both stepped up brilliantly on Sunday. With the added spotlight of being the managers’ sons, they delivered in style — scoring three outstanding goals between them and leading from the front 💚

A huge shoutout as well to the whole team for earning the Managers’ Trophy. Not just for what they showed on the pitch, but for the team spirit off it too. Considering we only had 5 players available on Saturday afternoon, the commitment to show up and battle together meant everything… and we still managed to field 8 🫡

Proud of every single one of you.

Boldmere St Michael’s JR 5-3 Sutton United Tigers

The curtain came down on the U10s season with a brilliant contest away at Boldmere JR, a game packed with quality and no fewer than eight top class goals ⚽💚

The Tigers arrived as the walking wounded. At 3pm on Saturday there were only five fit players available, which makes the effort the lads produced even more impressive. Huge credit to Bjorn who had been in A&E the day before with a serious eye injury. He gave it a go, managed a couple of minutes, showed real bravery before having to come off. 👏💚

On the pitch the boys were unfortunate not to come away with more. Boldmere were clinical with five goals from six shots on target, while at the other end the Tigers created chance after chance and on another day could easily have hit double figures. It just wasn’t to be this time.

What unfolded was a fantastic, high quality game full of drama between two very good sides who clearly respect each other. The standard of football and finishing on display was a real credit to both teams ⚽🔥

🏆 A big shoutout to Rudy and Josh who shared the fans vote. Two players who do not often pick up the award, both stepped up brilliantly today. With the added spotlight of being managers’ sons they delivered in style, scoring three outstanding goals between them and leading from the front.💚

Looking back on the season, it has been a special one for the Tigers. 30 games played with just five defeats. Three cup finals reached at the highest level, lifting the Winter Cup 🏆💚. Week after week the boys have faced top opposition with no easy fixtures and have consistently risen to the challenge.

Immense pride in every single player. A huge thank you to all parents for the commitment and support throughout the year 💚

Time now for a well earned break before pre season gets underway… the journey continues. ⚽💚

And to our resilient shot-stopper Freddie, fully deserving of the Manager’s, well done for a great come back and some great saves. 🧤

Sutton United Tigers 5-2 Sutton United Pumas 💚⚽️

A beautiful Sunday morning at Coleshill Road Stadium set the scene for derby day as the Tigers faced the Pumas. 🌤️

From the first whistle it was clear how much the Pumas wanted it. They won their individual battles across the pitch, making life uncomfortable for the Tigers early on.

Only a few minutes in, Bertie converted a free kick to give the Pumas the lead. ⚽️ The Tigers tried to respond but the Pumas stayed on top, controlling the flow of the game. Half time could not come soon enough, with the Tigers relieved it remained just 1-0.

The message at the break was simple… continue like that and lose, show some bottle and give yourselves a chance.

What followed was a completely different performance. 💪 It did not take long for the Tigers to draw level, Josh stepping up to score from a free kick. ⚽️

Momentum shifted quickly. Bjorn then calmly converted from the penalty spot after Enzo was brought down, turning the game around within minutes. 🔥

The game opened up into an end to end contest before the Pumas hit back, Ollie finishing excellently to make it 2-2. ⚽️

The Tigers responded again. Bjorn produced a superb free kick to restore the lead before Kurt cut in from the left to make it 4-2. ⚽️⚽️

To their credit the Pumas kept pushing, forcing Freddie into two excellent saves from Ollie and Bertie. 🧤

The final word went to the Tigers, a fantastic team move ending with Rudy’s cross being met by Enzo to seal a 5-2 win. ⚽️✨

Huge credit to both teams for a brilliant game. No side has tested the Tigers like the Pumas did in that first half. A top team with real quality. 👏

The standard across the age group at the club is a joy to watch. Three teams competing at the top level, barely any losses between them in a league of 158. Truly impressive. 💚

Thanks Pumas, until next time.

Solihull Navy 1-7 Sutton United Tigers ⚽💚

The Tigers were back in action today with an away trip to old foes Solihull Navy, a side we’ve shared plenty of great battles with over the years.

Despite awful weather on the drive over the conditions cleared just in time for kick-off, setting the stage for a brilliant game of football. 🌤️

The message to the boys was simple today: be brave, trust yourselves, play football regardless of the outcome. They delivered that in style and then some.

A devastating first half saw the Tigers at their very best. Moving the ball with confidence and intent, they tore through Solihull time and time again. Enzo led the charge with a clinical hattrick, Bjorn added two of his own, Rudy capped off a superb team display as the Tigers stormed into a commanding 6-1 lead at the break 🔥⚽

The second half continued in the same vein, with the Tigers controlling the game, showcasing some excellent football across the pitch. Enzo completed his four-goal haul with another sharp finish, were it not for an outstanding performance from the Solihull goalkeeper the scoreline could have been even greater 👏🏼

A top-class performance from back to front today, with the larger pitch really suiting the Tigers’ style of play, allowing them to express themselves fully 💚

🏆🏆Well done to Reuben for picking up the Fans Player award after a solid, composed display. Enzo took the Managers Player following a four-goal masterclass. ⭐👏

Next up it’s SUFC derby day as we take on the Pumas… one that promises to be an absolute blockbuster 💚⚽💛
