First and foremost, what an amazing thing to even think about doing at such a young age Layla, To be so selfless and want to do something to benefit others is simply incredible! 👏🏻

Doing a bake sale to help others at such a young age is absolutely amazing, and seeing how well supported your events have been makes it even more special. You truly deserve all the support you’ve received! 🧁❤️

We would love to meet you in person to say a huge thank you and, of course, get a picture with our big cheque! 📸

❤️🏆 WOW… WHAT AN AFTERNOON! 🏆❤️

What a truly amazing afternoon we’ve had at the BBC Radio Derby Make a Difference Awards, held at the lovely venue at Pride Park.

There were 8 incredible categories, with 4 amazing finalists in each, and we were absolutely thrilled and incredibly proud to be one of the four finalists in The Fundraiser Award. ❤️

To be surrounded by so many incredible people, all doing amazing things for others with absolutely no benefit to themselves, was genuinely humbling. Every single person in that room was a winner in our eyes. 👏❤️

But then came the moment we never expected…

🏆 MILES FOR SMILES WERE VOTED AS THE CATEGORY WINNER! 🏆

We honestly feel so incredibly blessed that the judges chose us, especially when the category was packed with such strong and inspirational finalists.

This award means so much to us, but we absolutely cannot take the credit alone.

We want to dedicate this award to every single incredible person who has taken part in one of our yearly challenges, organised a fundraiser, raised money in their workplace, school or community, completed their own challenge, donated, sponsored us, or simply supported Miles for Smiles along the way.

This award is for ALL OF YOU. ❤️

Without you, Miles for Smiles simply wouldn’t be what it is today, and we wouldn’t be able to support the families we do.

Thanks to your generous support and dedication, money raised recently helped Rory and his family enjoy a wonderful getaway in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.

As a huge Titanic fan, Rory was over the moon to fulfill a dream and visit the Titanic Museum! Seeing the smile on his face and creating these special memories for his family is all thanks to your kindness and community spirit.

We truly couldn't do this without each and every one of you. Thank you for making moments like this possible! 💙⚓

🎉🎂 HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOE! 🎂🎉

Today we would like to wish our amazing trustee Joe Grace a huge and very happy birthday! 🥳❤️

Joe, thank you for everything you do for Miles for Smiles. Your hard work, dedication and commitment to the charity never goes unnoticed, and we’re incredibly lucky to have you as part of the MFS family. 💙

Joe played a massive part in planning this year’s 3 Peaks 24-Hour Challenge, our biggest group challenge to date. With so many people taking part, there was a huge amount to organise, but Joe helped make sure everything ran incredibly smoothly. 👏⛰️

And we already know he’s looking forward to getting stuck into planning next year’s challenge… amongst the many other things he does behind the scenes! 😂🙌

And that third picture, on the third mountain, tells a story of its own. Joe had absolutely nothing left in the tank from the very start, but he refused to give up. He kept pushing, kept going and somehow found the strength to carry on. That determination sums Joe up perfectly. ❤️💪

We had the pleasure of visiting Ashby nursery and pre school today .

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Ashby Preschool Academy for choosing Miles for Smiles as the beneficiary of your summer fete, These guys do this every year for a different charity and usually ask the parents who they would like to nominate to be the charity of the year . So we would like to say a huge thankyou to the parents that voted for us . £1,135 was raised and is an amazing achievement and will make a real difference to the children and families we support. 🥰

The hard work, kindness and generosity from everyone involved is truly appreciated. Every single penny will help us continue to make a difference and create those all-important smiles. 😊💙
