Including a career-best 6/13 in the penultimate game of the season, earning himself a place on the Derbyshire Honours Board! 👏

🥈 2ND PLACE — LEWIS WILLIAMS! 🔥

A 23-wicket season for Lewis, who has played multiple roles for the 2s and adapted to whatever situation was thrown his way. 💪

As always, a reliable figure for the team, Lewis started his season with an excellent 6/29 — his 3rd-best bowling figures of his career! 👏

🏏 2ND XI LEADING RUN SCORER — MATT WILLIAMS! 🔥

532 runs for the 2s this season, alongside taking on the gloves as our 2nd XI wicketkeeper! 🧤

A brilliant high score of 92 from just 72 balls in the victory over Darley Abbey, as well as 4 half-centuries throughout the season. 👏

An excellent all-round performer for the 2s and a huge contribution with both bat and gloves! 💙

🥈 2ND PLACE — LUKE HEMINGWAY! 🔥

322 runs this season, including 2 half-centuries and a top score of 76 as the 2s put on a staggering 341! 💥

Another consistent season for Luke as he continues to be a real threat with the bat. 👏🏏

🥉 3RD PLACE — GARETH PICKERING! 🔥

Another solid season for Picko, contributing with both bat and ball throughout the year! 💪

319 runs, including a well-made half-century against Spondon. 👏🏏

🐐 DRUSS — THE BOWLING GOAT! 🐐

33 league wickets this season, putting him inside the league’s Top 10 and edging ever closer to becoming the club’s leading 1st XI wicket-taker! 🔥

His standout spell came against Sandiacre, producing a match-winning 7/22 — including a wicket with his very first ball and 2 wickets in the first over! 🤯

The bowling GOAT does it again. 🐐💙

🥈 2ND PLACE — ARRAN! 🔥

32 league wickets this season as Arran continues to prove himself as a serious wicket-taker.

His best figures of 8/9 topped the Derbyshire Honours Board and put him 5th on the National Honours Board — a spell that showed exactly what this young seamer is capable of! 👏

Another excellent season for Arran as he continues to grow and develop in the 1st XI. 💙

The future is bright! ⭐

🥉 3RD PLACE — AIDAN BRODRICK! 🔥

An incredible debut season with the Leopards, claiming 32 league wickets! 🐆

Including a brilliant 7/33 against Swarkestone, Aidan has been an outstanding bowler who has turned games around for us throughout the season. 💪

An excellent signing and a real pleasure to watch bowl. We’re looking forward to seeing plenty more from Aidan next season! 👏💙

581 runs, including two excellent 90s, one being a match-winning 90 against Derby Congs. 🔥

Another consistently brilliant year from Callan as he continues to prove himself as one of the league’s best batters.

🥈 TOM OOMER — 2ND PLACE

496 runs, including a match-winning 93* against Alrewas, scoring 93 of the 140 needed! 🔥

Steady at the top of the order, consistently building a great foundation for the innings.

Well done, Tom! 👏🏏

🥉 JACK WARREN — 3RD PLACE

496 runs, including a faultless 102* against Abbots Bromley. 🔥

Jack has been a phenomenal addition to the 1st XI, forming a classy opening partnership alongside Tom and helping build excellent foundations at the top of the order — averaging nearly 50! 👏

Well done, Jack — we can’t wait to see more next season! 🏏

That’s a wrap on the 2026 season! 🐆

What a season it’s been for Walton on Trent CC! A huge thank you to all our volunteers, supporters and players who have played their part in making this season so special. Whether you’ve been on the pitch, behind the scenes, cheering from the sidelines or helping the club run, we couldn’t do it without you. 👏

It’s been a season of records broken, both personally and for the club, with plenty of memorable performances and achievements along the way.

🏆 1st XI: Joint highest-ever finish in the club’s history!

💪 2nd XI: A solid season, securing our place in Division 6.

👌 Sunday XI: finishing at the top end of division 3.

We’ve also seen incredible growth in the support for our social media this season. A massive thank you to everyone who has liked, shared, commented, followed and interacted with our posts. Your support means the world to us and helps showcase everything that makes Walton on Trent CC special. 📲

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together, but the best is still to come…
