Tril-Obot Q&A
Let’s start with the basics.
Length: 85cm (107cm with weapon)
Width: 58cm
Height: 26cm (46 with weapon)
Ground clearance: Approximately 1 cm
Weight: Approximately 70-80 kg
Chassis: Bolted 2mm mild steel
Weapon: CO2-powered claw/mandible/axe
Drive: 2 wheelchair motors, driving all 6 wheels.
Armour: 2mm mild steel & 5mm polycarbonate.
Speed: Unknown
Q: When was it built?
A: Unknown, but a few clues indicate that it was likely built for series 3 or 4.
Q: Who built it?
A: Dave Pritchard. He did have a teammate, but I don’t know who he was.
Q: Have I got it going yet?
A: No, I’ve only just got it back to its new home. But its wheels and drivetrain haven’t seized up and are free-rolling, so the signs are good.
Q: What are the 3 blue cylinders at the wedge end?
A: We believe they are buffer tanks for the main weapon.
Q: Has it ever fought before?
A: We have reason to believe that it has. There is damage, most notable to the wedge, that indicates that it has battled. Who, when and where is unknown to us.
Q: Will it fight again?
A: Hopefully, yes, but only lower-tier opponents. I wouldn’t survive the likes of Implosion or Thor.
