The weekend before last, both Swansea Roar teams were in action at Newport!

Newport Centurions 2 (10) - (0) Swansea Roar 1

Unfortunately, Swansea Roar 1 forfeited their game against Newport Centurions due to team illness meaning a full legal team wasn’t able to play. Fortunately, there were players at hand to help out so that they were able to play as a friendly. It’s always a great experience for our players to get some game time against a good Newport side, and scoring some goals too!

Swansea Roar 2 (13) - (15) RCT Comets

A great game against a strong RCT Comets team. We knew it would be tough with how much they’ve impressed us at summer tournaments! A great game with plenty of goals!
Another great performance from Adam, picking up a second MVP award of the day!!

This weekend, both teams head to John Frost High School, Newport for an exciting day of Korfball action!⚡️

First up, Roar 1 face Newport Centurions 2, fresh off their 1st place finish at the Cardiff Uni Freshers Tournament, a strong and confident side who will no doubt provide a great challenge.

Roar 2 then take on league newcomers RCT Comets, who also impressed at the tournament. We’re looking forward to two competitive, high-energy matches and another great weekend of Welsh Korfball 💙🩷🦁

A close and hard-fought match against strong opponents, with goals flying in at both ends right up to the final whistle 🔥 A brilliant team effort from everyone on court.

Alice made her second game back from maternity count with 2 goals, while Naomi marked her league debut with her first goal and earned MVP (as voted for by Cardiff Uni 2) a standout first performance!

Loads of shots, plenty of goals, and so many positives to take from this one. Well played, Roar! On to the next game! 🦁🩷💙

💥 Back in action this weekend!
Swansea Roar 2 return to the court tomorrow for their second game of the season, taking on Cardiff Uni 2 at Talybont, 10:30am.

The team are looking to build on a strong start to the season, with some new players making their league debuts this weekend! Exciting times ahead as we continue to grow and develop!

Although narrowly missing out on some results, losing only by 1 goal in the group stages, we’re so proud of our club and the new players we have!

A huge shoutout to those who made their club debuts, they’re already smashing it with awesome goals and serious team spirit 🙌🔥

Special congrats to Adhi, who scored his first competitive goal on his debut for the club 🥳 and was voted MVP by the team! 🏆👏
