So as the year draws to a close. A new year on the horizon and putting yourself first is on the agenda for a lot us

Instead of asking yourself what have you got to look forward to in the coming year.

You look forward to it by setting yourself goals and focus on achieving them.

To be more specific 'SMART' goals.

Specific - Be specific in what you want to achieve.

Measurable - Use mini goals to measure your progress.

Achievable - Make your goal reasonable.

Realistic - Set a goal that is relevant to your life.

Time - Set a deadline

FOCUS

People often focus on the negative rather than the positive. Which seems to be a common occurrence within the gym environment, critiquing yourself constantly and again focusing on the negatives.
That’s were you need to learn to focus on the positives although you might not think there’s a lot but the more you look the more you will stumble across and the more positive you will become.

One perfect session is worthless if you aren’t consistent; showing up day in day out is what gets results.

Motivation… Do you have it? Do you wait for it? Do you need it?

A lot of people ask where I get the motivation to train 5/6x per week; the truth is, I’m not motivated all the time.

Once you’ve trained for long enough it just becomes part of your routine, it’s not something you need motivation to do, you just do it.
