First race in a loooong time and I’m definitely feeling it! 😭 Zwift has put me down into the D category which is probably about right looking at my average w/kg! I can’t believe how much bike fitness I’ve lost. But onwards and upwards - goal to get back into the C’s again!

Managed 6th FTS on the sprint 🤩 And my climbing is definitely improving!! Not bad for the teams reserve, reserve for tonight’s semi final!! 😂

ZwifterClaire - Twitch ZRL Semi Finals!

We finished 3rd in the ZRL division. Tonight it’s the first of two races for the playoffs! I’m racing tonight - not exactly a good course for me with two KOMs but as a reserve that’s been called up, I just need to get across the finish line!! 🤞

So I’ve been a bit quiet this week - resting and slightly panicking as tomorrow I’m riding the Carten tomorrow- Cardiff to Tenby 107miles!!

The nerves have really started to kick in and I haven’t managed to fit in anywhere near enough outdoor miles so really hoping zwift has helped in some way! I’ll be updating this page with my progress tomorrow!! The weather looks really good too! 💪🏻☀️🚴🏻‍♀️💯

What a race!! Can’t wait to see the overall results! Definitely scored some points for the team in the sprints and finished 21st overall which considering the finish line was at the top of a hill, is not too bad!! Even if I had managed to hold onto the front group I doubt I would have finished much better than that anyway!! 🥵

It’s ZRL race night!!

I was reserve last week and thankfully not needed. Tonight’s race is a sprinters dream, and I can’t wait!! Mostly flat but finishes with an awful KOM at the end. I don’t expect to finish in a good position tonight, I’ll just be going for the sprint segments! 🤞💪🏻

151m climbing - pretty flat course!

This is a TTT (team time trial) so we will be working together to finish together!

Wow what a race!! My first race with the Pirates 🏴‍☠️ for over 12 weeks!

There was just 4 of us tonight and we all had tired legs after tuesdays ZRL so we decided to take it easy (should have realised then that none of us knows what “easy” means 😂)

4 minute delay and the last team leave the pen. We started off well and grouped together quickly. But Eleonora couldn’t see anyone! So we spent the whole race letting her know where we were, put out more watts or ease off. I think this was great training for our communication as we managed to stick together really well. We overtook every other team on the course and managed to be the first team across the finish line!! Fantastic effort by the team, I’m super proud and happy to be back racing with you!!! 🤩🏴‍☠️💪🏻
