Good news over in Craig Cefn Parc today!

We are thrilled to be able to confirm work has begun on the new Multi Use Games Area at Craig Cefn Parc! Our contractors are on site and have assured us that, weather permitting, the MUGA will be up and running with lines marked for netball, football and tennis next month.
The Council is aware that many previous administrations have promised to bring this to the community and some funding from Mynydd Y Gwair was secured prior to Covid to begin the work of finding the remainder. The Council’s Grant and Project Officer has worked tirelessly to secure funding from many sources to ensure this project is delivered and our new Chair has generously offered to make a donation to the Council so we could get it all done in one phase rather than two when one of the funding applications was unsuccessful.
We will be running a mini sports festival on completion which will also be fully funded by The Shared Prosperity Fund and new floodlights are also on the way for those dark winter evenings with thanks to the Rural Anchor.
If there are any local groups interested in using the facility please contact the Clerk [email protected].
