Your journey starts here.... The first stage of the Triathlon Cymru Talent Search is an exciting opportunity to put your ability to the test, meet other aspiring athletes and discover where your potential could take you.

On the day, you’ll take on two performance challenges:

🏊 400m Timed Swim
🏃 2.5km Timed Run

⭐ It’s about potential, not experience and you don’t need to have competed in triathlon before.

You’ll also have the chance to meet athletes from the Triathlon Cymru Performance Centre, hear about their experiences and ask questions about life as a performance athlete.

Meet Grace one of our FLAIR athletes. Grace currently plays for Swansea City AFC U15’s team, Swansea School Girls U15’s team and is the trial squad for the FAW Regional Team.

Last season Grace was playing for the U15’s Swansea School Girls (playing a year up) representing Penyrheol Comprehensive School in both the English and Welsh cups. Grace was part of the team who won the Welsh cup final in Oswestry and hope to do the same again this year.

Graces' Dad says, "A big part of competitive football is Strength & Conditioning and while this is part of her current football training, Grace has gone the extra mile by being an active member of Freedom Leisure (Penyrheol) gym and focussed on resistance training to help increase strength, resilience and overall wellbeing - something she would be unable to do if the facilities were not made available to her."

We wish Grace the best of luck for the upcoming season and can't wait to hear of her successes.

Y tymor diwethaf, roedd Grace yn chwarae i Ferched Ysgol Abertawe dan 15 (gan chwarae blwyddyn yn hŷn) gan gynrychioli Ysgol Gyfun Penyrheol yng nghwpanau Lloegr a Chymru. Roedd Grace yn rhan o'r tîm a enillodd rownd derfynol cwpan Cymru yng Nghroesoswallt ac mae'n gobeithio gwneud yr un peth eto eleni.

Dywed Tad Grace, "Rhan fawr o bêl-droed gystadleuol yw Cryfder a Chyflyru ac er bod hyn yn rhan o'i hyfforddiant pêl-droed presennol, mae Grace wedi mynd yr ail filltir trwy fod yn aelod gweithredol o gampfa Freedom Leisure (Penyrheol) a chanolbwyntio ar hyfforddiant ymwrthiant i helpu i gynyddu cryfder, gwydnwch a lles cyffredinol - rhywbeth na fyddai hi'n gallu ei wneud oni bai am y cyfleusterau ar gael iddi."
