A big congratulations to Ben, Who's Wales 35 team lost 6-8 in a very close final against England 35s in Vichy, France at the European Touch Championship last weekend. We have been told he had a good tournament, supported by his two boys and he managed to get his 1st Wales Cap, 1st try in the first match against Belgium before ending the competition with 9 caps and 11 tries πŸ‘πŸΎ

In the Cwmtawe 7s on Saturday, we reached a milestone.

We have managed to score 250 tries in 79 games. The player who managed to cross the line for our 250th try was Ben Phillips with another interception tryπŸ‘

30 players have scored for us so far as shown in the picture below. This milestone couldn't have be reached without a whole squad effort.

This is a great achievement for us and we look forward to seeing a few more names on this list when we reach 300 See less

It was another great day for us at the Cwmtawe 7s on Saturday hosted by Pontardawe Rugby Club.

We had some tough, close group games against Bridgend Sports RFC, Morriston Silverbacks, Maesteg Quins Vikings, Rhondda Bulls and Tondu Touchers. We managed 3 wins, 1 draw and a lost, we came 2nd in the group on try difference. We managed to scrap through the plate semi-final against Maesteg Celtic Crusaders to set up a local derby final against Pontardawe Rugby Club Old Boys (a repeat of last years final). The Plate final was again a nail bitter that could have gone either way but we couldn't just get over the line. Thank you all for some great games and running touch rugby.

It was also great to have the support from the The Glais Rack Pack -Touch Rugby πŸ‘

We would like to thank Pontardawe Old boys for running a great tournament and day out. We look forward to coming back next year.

Congratulations to our ladies, who had to dig deep in a lot of their games yesterday to come away with the Plate πŸ‘πŸ‘

πŸ‰ PLATE CHAMPIONS! πŸ†πŸ’™β€οΈ

What a day we had yesterday at the Trebanos BOW’s Tournament!

From the very first game to the final whistle, every single member of The Glais Rack Pack gave it absolutely everything. The teamwork, determination and support for one another made us incredibly proud.

Our Plate Semi-Final against the lovely Alltwen Amigos ladies touch rugby team had us all on the edge of our seats, going all the way to sudden death, eventually being whittled down to just 2 vs 2. Huge credit to Cassie & Sian, who kept their cool under immense pressure to see us through to the final.

Then came the Plate Final against Dunvant RFC… and what a final it was! Another nail-biting match that went into sudden death, this time finishing as 3 vs 3. With tired legs but hearts full of determination, Jade produced one of the most incredible sprints we’ve ever seen to score the winning try and secure the Plate Trophy! πŸ’¨πŸ‰

Six months ago, a few of these ladies were complete beginners and our long standing members were struggling to field a team due to our small numbers. To now be standing together as Plate winners is a huge milestone and a real reflection of how far we’ve come. None of it would have been possible without the consistent coaching, encouragement and belief from Andrew. Thank you for helping us grow in confidence and ability every single week & for having the patience of a saint! πŸ˜„

A massive thank you also goes to Banos Old Womens Touch Rugby
for organising such a fantastic tournament, and to every team we played. The rugby was competitive, the sportsmanship was outstanding, and the atmosphere throughout the day was brilliant.

We’re incredibly proud of what this team is becoming. Here’s to continuing to learn, improve and enjoy every minute together.

Come on, Rack Pack! πŸ’™β€οΈβš‘οΈπŸ‰
