Cwm 3 - 3 Rhos

Another good battling team
Performance from the under 12s today against Rhos. Rhos started much quicker than we did and were 2-0 up after 20 minutes. After a ‘chat’ the girls really stepped up the intensity and despite completely dominating the next 20 minutes, we just couldn’t score that elusive first goal, with Rhos then
breaking to make it 3-0. We then had another ‘chat’ and told the girls that they were 100% still in the game, and if we can get the next goal early on we had a chance. And that’s exactly what happened. Ruby scored a great goal into the top corner, and then a tidy finish from Iola meant we were well and truly back in the game. With 5 minutes to go we got a penalty which Iola expertly dispatched and we were back to 3-3. Both teams pushed for a winner, but the game finished 3-3.

The girls were fantastic today, and never gave up. Super proud coaches too.

Frustrating morning for the girls today! We were the better team in the first game just couldn’t score. Played some good football looking to pass just lacked that little bit of urgency! Third game against Clydach we played well and were looking to play as a team.

A tough morning for the under 7’s.
In the first game they were unlucky to lose 1-0 to CKSV after playing some of the best football they’ve played.

In the second game, they were downed by a strong Ammanford side 5-0.

Another tight game ended with the girls losing 1-0 to Llangennech.

The final game ended in a 2-1 loss to Mumbles rangers.

Girls kept battling to the end and were beginning to implement what we’ve worked on in training.

Player of the day - in her first appearances- Liwsi for finding space on the pitch & some good passing.

Our first game against Clydach was an equal game. Clydach managed to get an early goal but our girls never gave up. The girls fought back with Cecily putting in some lovely saves & Lili and Betsan putting in some great tackles in defence. Cadi J and Soph Non made some lovely passes in midfield with Cadi H running around non stop for the ball. Rosie had a few shots on goal but narrowly missing out. Our goal came though when Mali made a lovely run from the middle, went past 3 of the Clydach players, before smashing the ball past their keeper. Game ended 1-1.

We then had a strong Mumbles 1 team. Again the girls were straight on it. Putting in some great tackles & never giving up.
Unfortunately around half way through the game, the heavens opened with wind, rain & hailstones. ALL teams ran for cover but by this point all the girls were soaked through and shivering. A decision was made to call off the remainder of the games.

Well done to all the girls today. We’re super proud of them, even keeping going through the hailstones.

A morning that can only be described as wet 🤣 But fair play to the girls, they were on top form from the start.
Our first game was against a well drilled Talycopa team. But our Cwm girls made some great passes and got those tackles in, with our defence keeping those goals out from the opposition. A lovely goal from Cadi J saw us take the lead and with only a minute left to go, Talycopa managed an equaliser. Game finished 1-1. Our second game was against Ammanford Blacks. An equal game with opportunity on both sides to score but keepers were on top form and kept them out. Ended 0-0. Our final game was against Ammanford Whites. A more experienced side who just kept coming at us. But Isa did great in goal which got their team frustrated a bit. Our girls kept running through the rain and had some opportunities at goal, just slightly off target. Game ended 2-0 to Ammanford.
Another awesome week from the girls seeing them developing and just not giving up. They all finished smiling, so it must have been a good morning 🤣💙⚽️
