Late Race report for PFI:
Mains: This round was always going to be a struggle in mains with a number of the usual mains drivers unavailable (due to girlfriend commitments 👀). We went in with fairly low expectations however Isaac Lyons and Thomas Vernon came into the team superbly and took the pressure on well to gain some vital experience in the mains championship. Then it was the turn of the usual A team drivers in Lewis Byatt and Samuel Jenkins, Lewis had possibly the worst kart we’ve seen in BUKC history extending his run of bad luck and the wait for a solid result.
Moving onto inters we had a much better day with the 2 returning mains drivers in the B team respectively.
Bryn Griffiths took a solid drive in a very wet qualifying to put it second on the grid converting this to a solid P1 in the race after a solid battle with Kingston.
Following this Jack Lewis came out and did the unthinkable and didn’t pick up a single penalty, however being taken out on the first lap meant he dropped down the field, driving solidly and making his way up to around the top 10 (most definitely my driver of the weekend)
Henry was up next and decided he would pick up a penalty before the race even started for breaking formation (this is a mains driver might I add)
Finally we had Ben up with the disappointment on his shoulders from buckmore he came with a fire and was ready to race he drove solidly to make his way through the field, securing a solid P2 finish overall for the B team. Overall some very positive moments to take forward to GYG next week and definitely some drivers to watch out for.

RACE REPORT
We headed into the round with mixed expectations after the results in qualifiers.

Mains
Strong drives again from Bryn and Lewis in the A team after a 6th and 9th as a result of penalties in round 1 and good drives from the rest of the A team, we went into round 2 with high hopes Lewis went out first and took the lead immediately at the first corner pulling a gap of around 2 seconds before breaking down on the 3rd lap with an engine issue ending his race, the rest of the team managed to come together and pull out some strong finishes to still secure solid championship points

Inters
We then moved onto inters where we had to call Ben smith into the team to cover for a certain Jack Lewis, and what a quali that man had putting it on the front row at only his second event. He found this a very large learning curve and I’m sure gained some experience. Great driving From isaac Lyons saw him go from 10th on the grid to 3rd after leading the race. Samuel Jenkins managed to also make a strong start from 9th on the grid to sit in second for the majority of the race, a horrendous penalty call from the BUKC resulting in a 2 place penalty. A solid drive from Ben Brown also managed to make up for the inexperienced in the team and his experience showed to bring home a solid result and points for the team, leaving us a certain strong candidate for the inters championship.

Your new Teamwear!

order time is approx. 4-5 weeks and that the garments are custom made.

The website includes size guides, due to the custom nature it’s important everyone check’s the size they require, to avoid disappointment, as we cannot replace incorrectly ordered custom clothing.

To ensure your size is correct, simply lay an equivalent garment on a flat surface, and measure at the point of underarm to underarm across the front of the top only in centimetres the chest measurement. This dimension will advise the size you require, when you compare it to the guide.

The best way to describe the qualifiers at Whilton would be what could’ve been, after getting 5 teams to the event we expected to have a good amount qualify. Outstanding drives from both current captain to go from 16th to 4th in the final and previous captain to take a solid 2nd place guaranteed the A team a place in the premier championship in 2023. The B team also managed to secure a place in the inters championship for the season. Well done to all of our drivers from the event!
