Sketty Bowls Club was formed in 1923 in De La Beche park. Formally known as Sketty Church, the team currently plays in Div 1 of the Swansea leagues.

First final of the year today ! Swansea Bowling Association midweek league final at the excellent Mynyddbach Bowls Club Beaufort RoadZ
Rollers beat Jersey by 20
Steve Griffiths lost by 4 to Rhodri Johnson
Mike Mapstone won by 10 again Craig Pugh
Rob Thomas won by 5 against Jonny Keavney
Tom Snelgrove won by 9 against Alan Rees

Tuesday night we beat Llansamlet in the semi final
Of the midweek league in a mighty tough battle at sketty !
Wednesday the rollers rink picked up 10 shots over the last 3 ends to beat a good waunalwydd rink to reach the final .
Wednesday night we played our re arranged game v Parc Llewellyn and won 9-3 by 20 odd shots, where we seen our first bit of rain of the year 🙏
Saturday we were never really in the races and lost 9-3 to Dyfatty away.
Today marks our first final of the year V Jersey.

Exallent game of bowls this afternoon at Sketty v top
Of the league Boymaen , however we lost 55-51 - lost 3-9.
1 up playing last end and they moved the jack to pick a 5 up on the last end.

Back on the train yesterday afternoon as we started rolling again as we beat Oystermouth at home 11 -1 (85-29)

As we approach the business end of the season its hard to keep up, as there has been games every day
Monday - Beat Jersey semi finals of double4s - final next
Tuesday - beat Waunalwydd (triples league ) - Dave Hearne bowled a class wood on the last end to win the game 🤟
Wednesday - open fours ( David , Ivor , Tom and Paul ) lost to Mynyddbach Bowls Club , who played exceptionally well 🙌 to win by 2 after picking a four up on the 17th end which was set up by Raymond Griffiths playing a good running wood 👌
Thursday - Parc Llewellyn postponed our league fixture, as they could not raise a team, to be played now August 19 th
Friday - open Pairs ( Tom and Paul ) played solid to beat Tom and Luke from Victoria Saints Bowls Club in a family affair at Sketty as they roll on
Today we host Oystermouth in a league game to hopefully get back on that roll in the Saturday league.

We keep on turning !
A huge battle today for local bragging rights against out NOISY neigjbous Dunvant Druids Bowls Club.
It turned out to be a loss 61 - 64 with dunvant edging it 7-5
A big shout to Rob Richards and Paul Rees who drew class woods on the 20/21 st ends which ultimately won the game for the Druids 👌
