🌡️ With high temperatures expected this week, cooling off in water may be tempting, but cold water shock can be deadly.

If you're heading to the water, take care around rivers, lakes, canals and the coast, supervise children at all times, swim at lifeguarded locations where possible, and never take unnecessary risks.

Stay safe and respect the water!

Lara’s swimmers recently enjoyed a fantastic water safety session at the Village Hotel in Cardiff, learning valuable skills that could one day save lives 🛟

Understanding how to stay safe in and around water is just as important as learning to swim. From recognising potential dangers to practising safe behaviours and building confidence in the water, our swimmers gained essential knowledge that will help them make smart decisions whenever they are near water 💦

We are incredibly proud of how engaged and enthusiastic everyone was throughout the session. Water safety is a life skill, and these lessons will stay with our swimmers long after they leave the pool 🏊‍♀️🏊🏻‍♂️

Well done to all involved, and a big thank you to Lara for delivering such an important and enjoyable experience 😁
