Every child who joins our dance school gets a FREE welcome pack! Filled with lots of fun activities for the kids as well as all the information the parents will need.

January Blues ๐

A bit of a different post from us. But we think itโs really important that we ensure we are all taking care of ourselves this month. December and January are a tough time for many, but making small changes can make those gloomy days that bit more bearable.

1. Get outside ๐
Spend time outside as much as possible. Especially at midday and on those rare sunny days.
2. Keep active โฝ๏ธ
Try to dedicate some time everyday to being active. Research has shown that spending 1 hour walking outside daily can dramatically improve mental and physical health.
3. Start a new hobby ๐
Itโs not just about keeping our bodies active, itโs just as important to keep our minds active. Finding a new interest gives you something to focus on and look forward to.
4. Meet up with friends/family ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ฆ
Socialising has been shown to improve mental health. Try your best to keep in touch with loved ones and accept those invites to social events.
5. See daylight โ๏ธ
If you arenโt able to get outside during daylight hours there are alternatives, such as the use of light boxes, which can also be attached to alarm clocks to help regulate the hormones for sleeping/waking.
6. Talk to someone ๐
Talking therapies such as counselling or CBT can help you to cope with symptoms of feeling low. See your GP if you think this is something you need help with. Alternatively you can find out more information here:
