The day has arrived and the Weather is perfect. All players to meet at 1 for 2 kick off. There is still time for any ex player to get involved so just turn up. There is plenty of refreshments available so we invite everyone to come down to enjoy the day.

Major Announcement - Date for the Diary.

It’s that time of year again where the legends of smeudwy dust the cobwebs off the boots, polish their knuckledusters and start stretching in advance. Yes, it’s time for the legends of yesteryear to teach the current crop (and hopefully legends of the future) how to play proper football. The current squad will be buoyed by their recent promotion to the top tier of the Neath league so the legends have their work cut out.

The game will take place on Saturday 13th June with kicking off at 2pm. As always, the both teams will be competing for the Ieuan ‘skippy’ Evans cup in memory of a great man.

On the day there will be plenty of liquid refreshments along with a BBQ for all supporters to enjoy.

Please come down to support the club and cheer on the players on what promises to be another classic.

We're delighted to confirm that Stephen "Boney" Livingstone will once again be part of Ynysmeudwy AFC for the upcoming season.

After an incredible 72 years of service to the club as a player, coach, groundsman, committee member, supporter and friend, Boney continues to be at the heart of everything we do at The Corbwll.

His dedication, loyalty and commitment to Ynysmeudwy AFC are unmatched. The countless hours he has given to the club over the years have helped shape Ynysmeudwy into what it is today, and we're proud to have him alongside us for another season.

We're delighted to confirm our pre-season schedule ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, with all fixtures taking place at The Corbwll.

We've put together a tough set of matches that will provide a real test for both squads as preparations continue for the season ahead. Our First Team will be gearing up for life in the Neath Premier League, while our newly reformed Second Team prepares for a welcome return to the Neath League.

We'd love to see plenty of support throughout pre-season as we build towards the new campaign. On matchdays, alcohol and food from the BBQ will be available to purchase for supporters and visitors alike.

Cilfrew Rovers Football Club Official 5–3 Ynysmeudwy AFC

Ynysmeudwy’s final game of the season ended in defeat away to Cilfrew Rovers in an eventful and hard-fought encounter.

The hosts started the brighter of the two sides and took the lead inside the opening four minutes. Smeudwy gradually settled into the game and found an equaliser through Tom Lewis in the 22nd minute, shortly before the scheduled water break.

Soon after play resumed, the match was halted following a serious injury to Cilfrew goalscorer Kyran Morgan after a 50/50 challenge with our centre-back Craig Colegate. Following a stoppage of around 20 minutes, Kyran was taken to hospital, and both teams agreed to continue the fixture. The score remained 1–1 going into half-time.

Cilfrew continued to push in difficult conditions and regained the lead after winning a penalty, which striker Callum Gardner converted.

Smeudwy were then reduced to 10 men due to injury, with no substitutes remaining on the bench. Despite this setback, Paul Sypliwtchak produced a moment of brilliance with a half-volley from the centre circle that crashed in off the post, giving the goalkeeper no chance.

The extra man eventually began to tell as Cilfrew restored their advantage once again. Pushing for another equaliser, Smeudwy committed bodies forward, only for Cilfrew to break and win a second penalty following a disputed handball decision 👀. Gardner stepped up once more to complete his hat-trick.

Captain Anthony Morgan then powered home a header from a Ryan Probert corner to bring the score back to 4–3 and set up a tense finish. Straight from kick-off, Smeudwy won possession back immediately, with James West forcing an excellent save from the keeper to deny what looked like a certain equaliser.

Cilfrew defended the resulting corner and countered quickly, with Callum Gardner grabbing his fourth goal of the evening to seal a 5–3 victory for the hosts.
