Friday night game versus Swindon Bowls Club.

Congratulations to Pete, Sandra and Mike, winners of this years Roger Smart trophy!

The Harry Dunne trophy was completed yesterday and miraculously without rain interference! Six teams with five games in a round robin format.

Congratulations to the victors Grace Walker, Rob Popkin and Andrew Boswell who won all five games.

After two postponements thanks to the weather, the Harry Dunn tournament, the first of the season, has finally started! And, for now, the sun is shining!

Our old friends and former members, Annie and Orange Lam arrived tonight with a gift for Dolly (President and their honorary Grandmother!) - a portrait of Dolly created by the super talented Annie. ❤️.

Heavy defeat to Swindon tonight 53-90 but fun nonetheless! Can’t win them all!

Lovely surprise to see our friends and former members Orange Lam and Annie tonight! There’s always a place in the team for these two if they ever move back to Swindon.

Great friendly game today versus Wanborough. Despite the sudden torrential downpour, spirits remained high and the sun soon came out again. Town Gardens Bowls Club won three out of four greens but drew overall on aggregate score. Thanks to Wanborough for a good game.

Very closely fought match last night, in the blazing sun, away against Stratton ladies. 20-17 on rink 4 (having been 17 all after 17 ends!) and 20-20 on rink 5, which meant a narrow defeat for Town Gardens Bowls Club. Well played to all the ladies!

After a long, hot day of competition, congratulations go to Jon, Tom and Monica on winning the Roger Smart trophy today. The winners are pictured with Doris, our club President. (Sandra’s trophy polishing skills also deserve a mention!)
