Well there's another 13.1 miles added to my challenge total.
Not the easiest 13.1 miles but I still managed to get through it with a smile on my face.
Now for a quick rest before heading back out for another mile with my son πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

My son Zachary and I are taking on the challenge of running everyday in November to help raise awareness and hopefully donations towards some local charities.
We are running for
β€’ Swindon food collective
β€’ Threshold
β€’ Homeless resettlement projects

Zachary will be running 1 mile everyday come rain or shine.
I on the other hand will be aiming to run 144 miles throughout November.

Now that's how you spend a Saturday morning πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ.
Up at 5am, out running for 6 with head torches due to it still being dark.
Completed a great 17 miles hopping over the M4 bridges which felt like a proper adventure, love running routes I've never ran before.
Then it was back out again with the Head Runners for another 5km.
Smashed it and feeling awesome,
Though I really need to refuel and make sure I stay hydrated throughout the day.

Another challenge set while supporting HrH's Runvember Challenge
This will be a challenge in a challenge, this year I'm number 144 and that's how many miles I'm aiming to run throughout November.

This year will see RunVEMBER work alongside The Swindon Food Collective and Threshold and provide food and provisions for 6,200 people in Swindon, 30% of these being children, and those who are now not fed by the hostels due to changes in how they operate. Swindon Food Collective’s Mission is to reduce the impact of food poverty on people in crisis in the Swindon and district area. With your help we aim to make the festive season a little easier for people in crisis this year.

Today we run with to help raise awareness for today being World Mental Health Day 2020 and its probably the most important one yet.

This year has been a tough one for us all and prioritising mental health has never been more essential than it is now.

That's why we want to bring everyone together to do one thing for World Mental Health Day on 10 October.

Weekly I run a free mental health awareness running meet with the support of and today is no different.
We meet up, people talk if they want to or they just run but it's there to support everyone and to help everyone improve their mental health through physical activities.

The complexity of a handstand push up baffled me for a while, watching other get inverted and then proceeds to perform a freestanding handstand push up was almost unbelievable.
But like most things, through a lot of research, understanding how my own body works, what muscles I needed to engage at what times, hard work and determination I've been able to begin to unlock this move.
It's movements like this that keep my love for Calisthenics alive.

I had a message yesterday regarding the change in my training routine.
'Why are you lifting weights, have you stopped training Calisthenics?'
100% I've not stopped training Calisthenics, Calisthenics will always be my favourite training method, but to ensure I'm staying diverse enough for the ever growing fitness market as well as opening my eyes to new training techniques, I've started lifting and running with an 8 week weight focused program.
Don't worry, I'll still be upside down, swinging from bars and training with my bodyweight.
This new opportunity just gives me the chance to offer my clients the best workouts possible so why wouldn't I make the most of it too.
