TORA KAI KARATE — BUILDING CONFIDENT CHILDREN.

⭐️We are thrilled to announce that Hanshi has won the 2026 G.O.A.T award⭐️

Hanshi Stronach, 7th Dan Black Belt Founder and Master Instructor of Tora Kai Karate, has received a 2026 G.O.A.T. Honours Award in recognition of more than 50 years of dedication, leadership and service to the international martial arts community.

The award recognises outstanding martial artists whose lifelong commitment to teaching, innovation and community service has made a lasting impact on generations of students and instructors.

Hanshi Stronach is the founder of Tora Kai Karate and has had a full time karate dojo in Swindon since 1999, with a clear vision of creating a professional martial arts organisation built upon traditional values, exceptional teaching standards and a genuine commitment to changing lives through martial arts. Today, the organisation operates from multiple locations with its full-time headquarters in Swindon, delivering classes seven days a week with a dedicated team of professional instructors. It has become Swindon’s premier full-time martial arts centre, supporting hundreds of children, teenagers and adults on their martial arts journey.

With more than 30 years as a full-time professional instructor, Hanshi Stronach has taught thousands of students, many progressing to Black Belt and Master Instructor level. A significant number have gone on to become successful full-time professional instructors within the Tora Kai Karate organisation, creating opportunities for the next generation while maintaining the high standards and values on which the organisation was founded.

Beyond martial arts instruction, Tora Kai Karate has become an active part of the Swindon community, supporting numerous charitable causes, fundraising initiatives and community projects over the years. The organisation has also developed specialist programmes in self-defence, wellbeing and personal development, while Hanshi Stronach has worked with British and overseas military personnel, law enforcement agencies and Blue Light emergency services.

Speaking after learning of the award, Hanshi Stronach said:

“Receiving this recognition is a tremendous honour, and one I accept with genuine gratitude. I would like to thank the many students, instructors, families and friends who have supported me throughout the last 50 years. No instructor builds something like this alone.

What makes me most proud is seeing students grow into confident individuals, achieve their Black Belts and, for many, go on to become professional instructors within Tora Kai Karate. As the organisation continues to grow, it creates even more opportunities for future generations to build careers, inspire others and continue the values that have always defined what we do.”

Today, Tora Kai Karate continues to expand both within the United Kingdom and internationally, while remaining committed to its founding principles of respect, discipline, integrity and lifelong learning. Although honoured by this international recognition, Hanshi Stronach believes the greatest achievement is seeing the positive impact martial arts continues to have on individuals, families and the wider community.
