Thank you so I hope for all your recent swimming related enquiries, by email, Fb and WhatsApp. Unfortunately we are not in a position to offer any group lessons at the moment. However, 1-1 lessons at private residences, and Lower Mill Estate for residents and renters are still available. Please enquire for further details. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the children who came to swimming lessons this week. It sounds like you all had so much fun!
We wish all of you well in finding another school soon.

It also goes without saying that the school is only successful with good tuition. Over the few years I’ve had some amazing teachers working for the business:

Natasha, Joanne, Millie, Georgia, Gemma, Catherine, Gary and you have all given such commitment and passion to our lessons. Thank you so much for everything. You are all fabulous teachers ❤️
Thank you also to all of the lifeguards who are equally as important.

The school has been a success and we have seen some of our children go on to compete for the county. Swimming is a life skill, but also has so many other positive effects too. I hope you all continue to swim safely.

It is with extreme sadness that due to circumstances that are beyond my control our swimming lessons at Blunsdon House will stop at the end of this week.

All the parents who’s children currently swim with us have already been notified by email at the beginning of this month. It is fair to say we encountered a few issues last term, some that were not related to the covid restrictions and we were really hoping to work with Blunsdon to resolve them.

I just want to say thank you for all your lovely emails we have received back. They are very much appreciated and have already shared some with the teachers.

During the notice period and to date we have been busy looking for an alternative venue to try and secure the continuity of the school. If and when I have any news you’ll be the first to know!

It has been an incredible, successful six years teaching so many children and adults to swim at Blunsdon Fitness. We would like to thank each and every one of you for your commitment and loyalty to Claire Kent Swimming. The teachers and I will miss all of our swimmers.

Natasha and Joanne look forward to seeing all the children this week and plan to include lots of fun and games in this final week.

Assessments for those parents who have requested are being carried out and I will email the outcomes by the end of this week.

Hopefully this is a short term break for the school and not the end! I am sorry to all of those of you with new enquiries that I am not able to help at this time. There are many other good swimming schools and I hope you find something suitable.

Certificates that were ordered and paid for will be ready for collection this week. Your child will be able to collect from the teacher. Failing this, you can collect from the club reception .

Perfect thanks Claire and thank you for everything you and your team have done. Kassy was tiny when she started swimming with you and scared of the water, her confidence just grew and grew with you guys which is amazing as she’s very sensitive but all of you were so great with her. I wish you all the best of luck xx

As promised all the letters have now been distributed via email. Due to the Fridays this term not able to go ahead all bookings for existing children on the programme are on a first come first served basis. Bookings are open and we are not looking to load any new business onto the term until the payment date has passed. The allocation for your child is provisional until full payment has been made. The last payment date is the 23rd August. Please be aware that the classes will be oversubscribed. Once a class is full there may/may not be other alternatives. Class sizes are now back in line with Swim England guidelines so ratios have increased from last term. The term starts on Tuesday 31st August for classes from 4pm onwards and Gary and Millie will be covering lessons this week. Usual teachers will resume as of next week.

Changing rooms will continue to be restricted while this pandemic persists. Ultimately we have a strict liability to keep everyone as safe as we feel appropriate, irrespective of the inconvenience this may cause in the short term.

An operational review of the club will be taking place in early September, once this discreet demand caused by the staycation boom wanes, we will be in a much better position to decide precisely how best to run things.
