The Ridgeway Run

Our run which we love needs time and attention that with other personal committments we cannot give this year. We wish you all happy running and thank you for your support.

A great 2 mile loop for all ages and abilities on the 9th October with a front and back runner. Instructions as for the 10 and 5 mile routes previously posted. Emma McIntosh

Ridgeway Run 2 mile social 2021

Our charity this year was Threshold and some of you have kindly offered to donate even though our main event is not happening as usual.

Threshold Housing Link is Swindon's Homeless Charity. Their aim is to end homelessness in our town and to help vulnerable people create a better life and independence. They offer support in a holistic approach and in a person centred way to local homeless individuals and to those threaten with homelessness.

With great support from amazing people we will be having a social run to replace our normal Ridgeway Run on October 9th starting at 0900 from White Horse Hill Car Park, SN7 &QN. There will be a front runner and back runner/bike for all routes. Routes will not be signed so please download the route and/or stick with the front and back runners. You are 100% responsible for yourselves so please ensure you are well and fit, are wearing the correct clothing, have drinks & snacks and that friends and family know where you are! please follow Covid guidelines. There is a £2 car park charge which is operated by the National Trust. If you are on Strava please join The Ridgeway Run club where the routes are.

Front runners will be leaving promptly at 0900.

Ridgeway Run Social 10 mile route 2021

We have had to make the sad decision to cancel The Ridgeway Run. We plan to be back in 2022.

The Hackpen Hill 10k is back! Take on this wonderful, off-road route skirting the historic Ridgeway Trail. The one lap course starts and finishes at Weir Farm, Broad Hinton, in Wiltshire. It's a tough course and can be very muddy, but well worth the effort, just to admire the fantastic scenery!
