Wickstead Farm offers a full range of livery, schooling and competition facilities including indoor school, fully lit outdoor manege, horse walker, cross country course and spa. Based on a large National Trust Estate, our clients enjoy off road riding and river crossings through beautiful Wiltshire countryside.
Great fun for the first week of the Easter break, making use of the fantastic facilities at Wickstead Horseplay. We have some amazing school horses 🦄🦄 we teach a range of Jump and flat lessons, offer shares to established lesson clients and in-house competitions for our Pony Club Centre members and sharers. With spring on the way 🤞🤞 we have some lesson slots available for afterschool, all riders must at least be able to walk and trot independently without a lead rope ideally able to canter, with their own equipment. With Spring finally in the air today, the Bristol Uni Bucs 1st team, had some spring in their step in a fab training session with Tapner Eventing Team well done team.

Throwback to some of the fun we had in some better weather in 2025 to help with the endless mud and mucking out 😅 there is light at the end of the tunnel! Looking forward to planning some summer events and enjoying the wonderful ponies and horses at Wickstead.

🐴 Horses that stay sound, settled and sensible
📋 Yard routines that run on time (or look like they do)
🤝 Considerate liveries and a supportive team
☕ Tea or coffee strong enough to qualify as a controlled substance
Dislikes:
😬 Texts that start with “Sorry to bother you but…”
🧹 Messy yards, taps left running and lights left on
🐎 Horses with a talent for finding trouble
📅 Surprise emergencies... especially at 3am
Fun fact: Can manage a yard full of horses, solve three problems at once, fix fencing, reassure a worried owner and juggle admin — all before most people have finished breakfast. 🍳

Such a fun Wickstead outing to LIHS last night all to cheer on our resident Jockey and her Side Kick Beeftub Felix aka Bisto! Competing in the She smashed it and took the win last night I am Sure our cheering helped. Everyone was so proud and it made the trip even more worth it 🎄🎅🏻 well done Imi not the last time we will witness you winning a race I am sure 💕
