Pilates offers immense benefits for women during and after pregnancy.
During pregnancy, the exercises and breathing techniques help to maintain strength, flexibility, and overall well-being as the body undergoes changes. Pilates can also prepare the body for and facilitate easier labor, promote relaxation, and foster a sense of connection between mother and baby.
Postpartum, Pilates aids recovery and a return to fitness while respecting the body's needs. It focuses on rebuilding core and pelvic floor strength, which can be weakened during pregnancy and childbirth. Additionally, Pilates helps restore stability, overall body alignment, and rehabilitate physical strains experienced during pregnancy.

Never done Pilates before? No problem! Come and discover how good it feels to move in 2025!
"Pilates has helped build up my core strength and offset muscle loss due to menopause. I suffered from severe back pain due to problems with my sacroiliac joint and was on painkillers most days, but a year of Pilates with Beth has helped build strength in my core, my back pain is much better and I have stopped painkillers. One thing I greatly appreciate about Beth is her bespoke training for each student, she is very passionate about people and makes every effort to know her clients' needs and tailors content to help everyone. She also gives useful tips and hints to make the most of every routine she teaches." ~ Mallika

A primary take-away from last night's webinar, "Breast Cancer -Reducing Risk and Recurrence" or "Physical Activity in Breast Cancer - Why it Matters", that I thought was profound and worth sharing:
Exercising during chemotherapy (at one’s own pace) leads to better outcomes in terms of being better able to manage side-effects (such as fatigue and mental/emotional stress), and a reduction in the likelihood of recurrence, thereby improving survival by 30% compared with not exercising.
That’s pretty significant and worth sharing!
