Here are the results and impressions from the first Biathlon of the summer. Moredon Sporting Hub is a fantastic location for such an event, and the athletes were delighted with the perfect tarmac surface for racing. They are keen to return!

Only a few days to go until the first Biathloppet of the summer, 4 races in 2 days, short but challenging distances for each age category so you can go for it each race. Recent Olympian Jacques Jefferies will also be on the start line so come and compare yourself against one of the world's best 💪🇬🇧

It has taken us a while to set up, as we have been ironing out a few issues from last year and trying to simplify the process. We are looking forward to seeing everyone racing, and there are plenty of new race formats, courses and titles to win, so good luck!

2026 Laser Races - British Biathlon (BBU) There are a lot of national tournaments that can be entered into when climbing the ranks. Most of which are entered through local clubs.

Depending on how you prefer to access information, the Masters website (https://www.bmccsa.org.uk/calendar-2023)will also share race information, as will this page, where organisers can share event details and any media from the events.

Hello to the ever-growing British Nordic community! Following an amazing series of results so far at the Winter Olympics, now is probably a great time to release the 2026 summer schedule for everyone to put in their diaries.

To reflect participation patterns, the schedule has changed slightly this year: the GB race series is absent, but summer championship races in both distance and sprint formats have been included. The distance format will comprise two races: a classic time trial and a skating pursuit race, with the winners being the first to cross the pursuit finish line. The sprint format will be decided based on placing in the prologue or heat phase, unless a large number of athletes attend, in which case we will look to split genders, age categories or both. The main focus is meaningful competitions.
There are just a couple of small details to confirm, after which an updated calendar will be shared.
