Please be extra cautious with puppers in this heat. And yourselves as well - stay hydrated stay out of the heat of the midday sun and use sunscreen 😊

🐶🔥 Heatstroke in Dogs: Know the Signs, Act Fast! 🔥🐶
Heatstroke is a medical emergency — and it can happen fast. Dogs can overheat even on days that don’t feel extreme to us.

🚨 Warning Signs to Watch For:

Excessive panting or drooling

Weakness or collapse

Bright red or pale gums

Vomiting or diarrhea

Glazed eyes, confusion, or unresponsiveness

⚠️ Brachycephalic breeds (like Pugs, Bulldogs), overweight dogs, and older dogs are at higher risk.

☀️ Prevent Heatstroke:
✅ Walk early morning or late evening
✅ Provide shade and fresh water at all times
✅ NEVER leave your dog in a parked car — not even for a minute
✅ Avoid hot pavements (if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws)

🧊 If You Suspect Heatstroke:
Move your dog to a cool area immediately

Offer small amounts of water (don’t force it)

Cool with wet towels on chest, belly & paws — avoid ice-cold water

Call your vet urgently
Prevention is always best—share to help spread awareness!

After all we’re just fabulous the way we are - we just need reminded of that every so often ❤️

10 years old today, and still acting like the baby pupper she is.

She’ll be spending the day in her usual manner by chilling out eating lots of lovely treats and generally bossing her 2 leggeds about.
