UNMISSABLE JUDO MASTERCLASS!

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Commonwealth Champion and Olympian Danny Williams is coming to AWE Judo for a special Masterclass Session!

This is a rare and incredible opportunity to learn from one of the UK's finest judoka and a brilliant chance to train, learn, and have fun with one of the sport's best.

Whether you're an aspiring competitor or looking to refine your technique, Danny's insights and experience will be invaluable. All levels welcome!

⏰ Time: 18:15 to 21:15 (split by age groups below)

📍 Where: AWE Judo Club, Main Gym, AWE Recreation Society, West Gate, Tadley, Hampshire, RG7 4PR
Sat-nav note: The club recommends entering RG26 4QP to reach the West Gate entrance.

🅿️ Parking: Free parking available on site

Session Times:

· 🕡 6:15pm – 7:00pm — Ages 5–7
· 🕖 7:00pm – 8:00pm — Ages 8–15
· 🕗 8:00pm – 9:15pm — Ages 14+ & Adults

ALEX MULRONEY MEMORIAL DAY ♥️

A huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts to every single person who worked so hard to organise and make the Alex Mulroney Memorial Day such a wonderful success.

To the clubs, AWE Judo, Wokingham Judo Club, Summit Judo Club, Neon Judokwai, the sponsors Watson Farley & Williams LLP, the families, volunteers, and everyone who came along to support, you are all incredible.

Today wasn’t just about judo, it was about celebrating the bright, passionate, much-loved life of Alex.

Seeing everyone come together in his memory, sharing the sport he loved so deeply, supporting such worthy causes (Cruse Bereavement Support and MS Therapy Berkshire), and honouring him with such warmth, respect and joy, it really was perfect.

Alex would have been so proud, smiling down on us all, seeing four clubs united, friends old and new on the mats, and his spirit felt in every throw, every cheer, every medal awarded.

He may be gone, but he is never forgotten. His light shines bright in every one of us, and days like today keep his memory alive in the most beautiful way.

Thank you for keeping Alex’s spirit alive. Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and your love. What a legacy.

Rest peacefully, Alex. You are so loved and so missed.

What a day on the tatami!

Lottie fought brilliantly to finish 5th, picking up 10 valuable points, just 20 points to go!

Abbie battled her way to GOLD!

Both girls showed fantastic determination, fighting spirit and resilience throughout. We’re incredibly proud of the effort they put in and the way they represented the club.
