"The Management Committee is ultimately responsible for the preservation and management of the golf course and has decided that the 2017 AGM decision cannot be allowed to prevent such actions as are now deemed necessary to protect the integrity of the 9th green and fairway approaches." This is excellent news, saves the need for any of us to waste time showing up at an AGM.
seem to on handicap list. ???. wish i was . been away 10 years.
If anyone is needing a ticket for tonight I have one spare .
What an absolutely fantastic night for prize giving last night. I have never seen the club so busy with such a fun crowd. Well done to everyone who organised it, the sandwiches went down a treat too and was a lovely thoughtful touch. The Impact got everyone up on the floor and played such a good variety of songs you couldn't sit down. Ellie you made the night. Look forward to more nights like these please Gus. Next time you give Donald the wrong trophy he's keeping the whisky ha ha # #
Would anyone be free for a round on Thursday morning say 8.30am? I need a member to mark a card for handicap. Cheers Richard.
Was watching the golf club finals today .The weather turned bad very much worse than expected but I cant believe how poor the support was from the members. Our new caterer had laid on superb food afterwards without much support.Use it or lose it seems to be forgotten! Please support our club and new caterer or we will lose him !!!
Great night last night with the casino, thoroughly enjoyable.
Just a shame that Niall Harkiss won!
A great day was had by all golfers at the 16th SGA Open (Mixed) Golf Competition both on the course and again when we reached the 19th hole for 🍺🍺and 🍔🌭. Our thanks to Stuart Morrison and Gus, the club Captain and members of Tain GC, the green keepers for presenting the course in great condition, catering staff for a great BBQ and the hard worked ladies behind the bar always with a smile. Lastly to Robertsons of Tain Ltd who sponsored the tournament, many thanks. Already looking forward to next year.
A very well done to the golf club on the screening of the 6 Nations Scotland v Ireland game today. Fantastic feed at HT. Good to see the club thinking outside the box and great to see my social membership been seen won't open arms, and that includes to my guests for the day also. A fantastic club at all levels ❤️

Well that's two crazy weeks over, the privilege of hosting the Gents Scottish Amateur Championships and this week we had our Annual Tain Golf Week. Both were a great success and the positive feedback has been well received and appreciated.

My thanks goes to all the staff and volunteers at the club. Ross and his team for presenting the course in immaculate condition. To Stuart, Robert & Craig for their fantastic BBQ night, Liam for his Quiz to start us off. To Stuart for getting the competitions off on time and looking after their smooth running. To my staff, Marion,Jaide,Reona, Lisa, Gail, Eryn & Trisha for their hard work in the Kitchen and bar. And to all the young waiting staff, you did the club proud. Last but certainly not least, to Dorothy for all her hard work in the office, pulling it all together and making others work so much easier.
