Boasting a large crown bowling green and three floodlit, hard surface, all weather courts, there is hardly a better place to play bowls and/or tennis in Tamworth. We would say that because we are proud of our club and wish everyone in Tamworth area who loves bowls and tennis would join us! 🎾 Tennis is more than a workout.
Yes, you move, run, stop, turn and reach — but there’s much more happening at the same time.
You’re watching the ball, reading your opponent, making quick decisions, adjusting your position and trying again after every missed shot. Your body is working, but so is your brain. 🧠
And then there are the quieter benefits too — fresh air, focus, switching off from everyday worries, meeting people and simply enjoying an hour on court.
Some days it’s about a good rally.
Some days it’s about learning something new.
And sometimes it’s just nice to think about the next ball instead of everything else. 💙
Tennis can be competitive, social, technical or completely relaxed. You can play singles, doubles, join coaching or simply come along for a hit.

Open to non-members, rackets provided, and sessions are coached by Ian Armfield in a friendly and relaxed environment.

MEN’S B TEAM MATCH UPDATE 🎾
A hard-fought evening for Spital Men’s B Team away against Melbourne.
Although the result did not go our way, the team gave it their all against Melbourne, who are currently sitting at the top of the league.
The evening ended in true club spirit, with both teams enjoying a well-earned post-match b**r together. 🍻
