TRFC Earthquakes 7 - 3 Banbridge Town

After a strong pre season which saw the boys go unbeaten in 4 games, it was a return to Mid Ulster action on Saturday in our first game of the season.

The boys dominated from the off forcing the Banbridge keeper into a string of fine saves. The pressure eventually paid off and goals started to flow with the lads deservedly going in 5-1 at H/T.

With 5 subs and lots of changes we were really slow out of the blocks in the 2nd half with Banbridge enjoying their best period of the game which saw the score pulled back to 5-3.

That seemed to kick the boys back into action and once again they took control and added two further goals despite the efforts of the Banbridge keeper who continued to make fine saves. A comprehensive win to start our Mid Ulster season with some really pleasing football during stages of the game.

POTM was Jenson - 2nd week running but he was outstanding. Notable mentions to Joe and Daniel too but the whole team played their part 👏👏

⚽️ 2018 Tandragee Rovers ⚽️

A very positive start to the season for our Red team.

We knew this step up in level from blue to red would be a test but everyone of the lads worked hard for each other and played good football in all 3 games against good quality opposition in Ambassadors, Glenavon and Armagh City.

A brilliant display that shown how these lads have progressed over the years starting at Green level in U7’s Blue level at U8’s and now another step up to Red in U9’s.

PoTM went to Zach whose energy and work rate set the tone for the team.

It was great to have the green team back in action today at richhill.

First game was against a very good banbridge rangers side, after a long break away from football it took the lads a bit of time to find their feet but they battled hard.

The second game came against a familiar Craigavon city and the boys seemed to find their stride in this game with zach scoring 4 goals, Charlie getting one and new player Jacob getting on the scoresheet too, with Noah, Tommy and Willow playing excellent in defense and Theo putting in a strong performance between the sticks.

The last game was against richhill, it was a very even game with not much to separate the two sides Tandragee created plenty of chances, just unfortunate not to put any away, the defense was strong throughout the whole game with Willow putting in a good performance in nets.

Motm this week went to Zach after his excellent performance throughout the 3 games playing in nets, scoring goals and defending well.

Super performances from all the kids with great work rate, effort and some fantastic play throughout the 5-a-side games.

A special welcome to our 3 new Rovers — George, Kobie & Casey. 🧡 All three put in a great performance and showed exactly what they can bring to the team. Keep up the good work in training! ⭐️

2017 Hurricanes kicked off the season against an excellent Dromore team at Richardson Park this morning.

It was a scintillating match with both teams giving it their all and some excellent attacking football on display by the Rovers.

Big congrats to our player of the week Olivia who absolutely dominated midfield and coveted every blade of grass. Well done Rovers and well done Olivia 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

For any of our youth players wanting to watch our seniors this weekend.. this is where they’ll find them!!

As the leagues begin this weekend with our first matches of the 2026/27 season can we remind all parents, guardians, grandparents, aunts, uncles and whoever may be down watching the team or dropping off/collecting a player that there are strict pitch access rules in place.

All officials on the pitch have been access Ni checked and completed appropriate safeguarding training. They are the only people allowed to access the pitch. Please do not enter the pitch for any reason, unless specifically invited to by an ABC SGG coordinator.
