22 years ago today we got married in Las Vegas! 🧔

And this month also marks 29 years since we got together.

29 YEARS! šŸ˜³šŸ˜‚

I honestly don’t know where the time has gone.

These photos are just a little snapshot of the years we’ve shared — from that Las Vegas wedding day, through holidays, adventures, plenty of laughs and all the ordinary moments in between.

We’ve had a lot of adventures along the way, travelled to some amazing places, made some brilliant memories, laughed A LOT, driven each other slightly mad at times šŸ˜‚ and supported each other through plenty of ups and downs.

I still think getting married in Vegas was one of the best decisions we ever made.

22 years married and 29 years together… not bad going! 🧔

Happy anniversary to us. Here’s to whatever the next chapter brings. šŸŽ‰

✨ Mindset Monday ✨

ā€œI’ll start in January.ā€

How often do we say it?

But what if you started now?

Not with a strict diet.

Not with an all-or-nothing plan.

Not trying to ā€œundoā€ everything before Christmas.

Just a few small, positive changes.

Start strength training.

Walk a little more.

Be more mindful with your food.

Get your sleep back on track.

Start making yourself a priority.

Because three months can make a difference.

And when December comes, you don’t need to panic or feel like you have to be ā€œgoodā€ before Christmas.
You’ve already started building those habits.

Then January isn’t Day 1...
It’s simply the next step.

🩵 What could you start now that you’d be really pleased you’d started by January?

A little Dolly Parton tribute ā¤ļø

I ordered this T-shirt while we were away after hearing the very sad news that Dolly had passed away. I saw it on Gina Potter’s Instagram and just had to have it. I love a good graphic T-shirt anyway but this one felt like a lovely little tribute. ā¤ļø

It also got me thinking about our trip to the USA back in 2018.

We originally went because we wanted to visit Graceland and see Elvis’s home. I’ve always loved rock ā€˜n’ roll and live music, so we decided to turn it into a proper music road trip — Pigeon Forge, Nashville, Memphis, Natchez and New Orleans.

Our first stop was Pigeon Forge, where of course we went to Dollywood.

It was SO much better than we expected and was probably the best theme park I’ve ever been to. So clean, the staff were fantastic and we had the best day. And yes… there were rides, which I absolutely loved! šŸ˜‚

But it was so much more than just a theme park.

There was a museum about Dolly’s life, the house she grew up in and a whole little village recreated to reflect where she came from. We spoke to several of the older staff members while we were there and they couldn’t say enough about how lovely she was.

I loved seeing how she had used her success to help so many other people.

She was an incredible songwriter, a successful businesswoman and a strong woman who was never afraid to be herself. I think that’s one of the things I admired most about her.

She knew who she was, where she came from and what mattered to her.

I’ve also included a photo of the cushion from her touring motorhome. I think the words on it are a pretty perfect little reminder of the Dolly spirit. ā¤ļø

So this is my little tribute to Dolly — a woman who gave so much, stayed true to herself and left behind an incredible legacy.

Thank you, Dolly. šŸ’•

Strength Journey – The Next Chapter šŸ’ŖSometimes you just have to adapt.

This week started with a PB on my heaviest hip thrust to date. šŸ’Ŗ
Then I woke up with a strained neck after sleeping awkwardly, so when it got worse on Monday I decided to skip my usual Tuesday session and went for a walk instead.

Friday I trained legs with Mike and we adapted the session again, using machines rather than free weights to give my neck a bit more of a rest.

I’ve done leg press on my own before, but Mike got me doing 20kg more than I’ve previously lifted for 8 reps! šŸ™Œ

Another PB despite a holiday, less training than usual and an unexpected change of plan.

And that’s the message this week.

Consistency doesn’t mean doing everything perfectly.

Sometimes you need to change the workout. Reduce the weight. Choose a different exercise. Go for a walk. Or simply rest.

I do this with my clients all the time when they have niggles, injuries or aren’t feeling 100%. We look at what they can do rather than focusing on what they can’t.

Because one missed workout doesn’t ruin your progress.

You don’t need to start again. You just need to adapt and keep going.

And that’s how we keep moving forwards.

This is a long game. šŸ’Ŗ

Friday Wins 🩵

Three very different wins from my clients this week...

šŸƒā€ā™€ļø20 minutes of continuous running!
My PT client hasn’t done this before and is feeling so much stronger. Her weight training has definitely helped too.

šŸ‹ļø Home weights becoming a habit!
My online client is upping her weights and, more importantly, she’s changed her mindset. She’s getting her sessions done even when she doesn’t feel like it — and that’s how habits are built.

šŸ™ A brilliant start to recovery!
One of my Pilates clients had her second hip replacement at the weekend and her doctors and consultants were really impressed with how well she’s already moving. She’s continued with her Pilates and rehab exercises since her first hip replacement and has worked hard to keep her body strong.

This last one is a really important reminder...

An operation doesn’t always mean stopping everything.

Of course, you need to follow your medical team’s advice and adapt your exercise around surgery but where you’re able to, keeping your body moving and maintaining as much strength as possible can be so valuable.

Don’t think ā€œI’ll start again after my operation.ā€

Think ā€œWhat can I safely do now to prepare my body?ā€

Sometimes the best thing you can do is build the strongest foundation you can before you need it. šŸ’™

What’s your Friday Win this week? šŸ‘‡

šŸ’™ Strong women. Real wins. Every Friday.

September doesn’t have to mean starting all over again

16/09/2026

Strong Wednesday šŸ’Ŗ

We’re finally getting started with the 5 movement patterns I talked about a few weeks ago.

First up… the squat.

We use a squat movement all the time in everyday life — sitting down, standing up, getting up from the floor and more.

So being able to squat well is a really useful skill to have.

And you don’t need to be squatting a heavy barbell to benefit from it.

Start with your own bodyweight, work on your technique and then gradually build your strength from there.

And remember, your squat doesn’t have to look exactly like someone else’s. We all have different bodies, mobility and abilities.

Next week I’ll show you some different ways you can work on the squat if a traditional squat doesn’t feel comfortable or isn’t right for you.

There’s always a way to work on your strength. šŸ’Ŗ

What movement do you find hardest — squat, hinge, push, pull or carry?

✨Mindset Monday✨

September can feel a bit like a second January, can’t it?

Summer’s coming to an end, holidays are over and routines start to settle down again.

And suddenly there’s this pressure to ā€œget back on trackā€ and change everything at once.

But you really don’t need to.

If your routine has been different over the summer, that’s okay.

Maybe you’ve had more meals out, enjoyed a few treats, had later nights, travelled, or simply haven’t trained as regularly.

You don’t need to undo any of it.

Instead, ask yourself:

What are the things that make me feel good that I want to bring back into my routine?

Maybe it’s your strength training.
More walks.
Getting organised with your meals.
Going to bed a little earlier.
Or simply making more time for yourself.

Pick one or two things and start there.

You don’t need to overhaul your whole life because it’s September.

Small things, done consistently, can make a big difference.

So rather than thinking ā€œI need to get myself back on trackā€ ask yourself:

ā€œWhat do I want more of this autumn?ā€

More strength?
More energy?
More confidence?
More time for yourself?

Start there. 🩵

You don’t need a new you.

You just need to keep building the woman you want to become.
