After a disappointing end to the season where we ended up finishing second on 3 occasions, the spirits are still high and the team are heading to Butlins for the weekend.

It might give some of the single lads an opportunity to come first for once.

PSV 4-3 Wyvern

A great game for the fans seen the youth come out on top yesterday as Wyvern let another trophy slip away.

We found ourselves 1-0 up within 7 minutes as scads headed home from a Girton corner.

Shortly after was a moment which changed the game as 2 of our centre midfielders picked up injuries, Emmy hobbled on for most of the game but a frustrated Stef had to come off.

PSV got infront before the break with 2 quick fire goals.

Things weren’t looking good for Wyvern as we came out for the second half but we shocked everyone scoring 2 goals in 5 minutes from Miles and Girton. We somehow found ourselves 3-2 up.

It was a rollercoaster of emotions all afternoon for everyone involved.

It wasn’t long before PSV found an equaliser from the penalty spot and eventually found the winning goal ending the game 4-3.

We congratulate PSV on the win and thank you all for coming down and supporting the boys, we hope to see you all again next week when we play each other again at the same time and same place.

It’s the first of 2 big weekends in football for Wyvern this Sunday as we face PSV to try and defend the Jim Jowett cup.

After missing out on making it 4 league titles in a row we are hoping we can at least keep hold of a cup or 2.
