The TDSA, Taunton Deane Shooting Association, is a member only, target shooting club, conveniently located close to Vivary Park in Taunton.
The TDSA offers small bore, full bore, black powder, air rifle and pistol target shooting. As well as shooting on our 25 yard approved range in Taunton, we arrange visits to various outdoor ranges, offering members the opportunity to shoot out to distances of 600 yards locally, and 1200 yards at venues like Bisley in Surrey.
Another enjoyable Saturday afternoon on the Taunton Deane Shooting Association range, good to see such a good turnout of members, including three of our latest probationary members, all progressing well towards full membership.
A good range of fi****ms in use today, including the usual small bore, bolt action and semi auto rifles, a very nice .357 under lever and Rob, as usual with a selection of his black powder fi****ms, many from a bygone era.

With Ben, on the range loading his .44 magnum LB Revolver, ready to practice his precision shooting and grouping. Today Ben will test his home loaded ammunition, that has been custom made, to meet the energy rating of our indoor range. Many of our members prefer home loading, to match ammunition to their individual fi****ms, to improve accuracy. There is a wealth of knowledge within the club, and members are always keen to coach and mentor new members, who are interested in this fascinating sport, passing on their skills to provide a competitive edge, when taking part in our competitions.
