Another staff cpd day at Wimbleball Lake in the books. Definitely one of our favourite customers, always a good day on the water there…especially when they bring the sunshine like today.

Day 3 became race day! Once again, these young ladies smashed it. This is the first start racing I’ve done in 20 years where majority were on time for their first start, battling out fearlessly and aggressively. Actively tacking out for clean air, calling room at the marks, had it all. Definitely get the feeling they will be continuing the racing route in the future.

Breeze on today for our L3 with the CCF RN. These young ladies are awesome and fearless! Very crazy conditions for an introduction to trapezing and they smashed it. Super proud of all of them, progressed so much in only 2 days.

Also, we continue to be amazed by the versatility and stability of the Argo. From beginners to introducing the performance techniques, it can do it all.

We are up North this week supporting the CCF RN, teaching Level 3. Stunning weather today with sun all day (22°c), no wind to start, then perfect 6-8kts in the afternoon. A lot covered on day 1. We even managed to fit in a jog along the seafront before scran!

It’s nearly Easter which means centres are gearing up for the season. Great day putting the team through their paces with a safety boat refresher and staff CPD day.

The past couple of weeks have seen a rather tired look at the Sailjuice Winter series and Exe sailing club prize givings but always a nice way to close the book on last season ready for the season ahead.

Silverware all round which is always nice, though hopefully next season Exe will remember to remove the “silver fleet” tag as it’s a little embarrassing and a lot unfair.
