Some armchair yoga with Charlie. Charlie *can* sit on a yoga mat. Charlie’s hip flexibility means that if he feels like it, he can still pop himself into a full lotus position too- when he was little he even used to ride horses sat in it. Charlie’s need for feeling safe however is very tied to sitting in certain places so when we do yoga together we start in his chair, settle and regulate first, usually with his favourite tunes, some tapping practice, working with his feet and touch supported breathing. Then, if he wants to, he comes down to the floor and we do a bit of asana practice. But our focus is always connection, co-regulation, joy and relaxation 🩵

This week I have attended Sally Kay’s brilliant Reflexology Lymph Drainage training and now I am looking for someone to be my case study. More information about this technique can be found at https://www.reflexologylymphdrainage.co.uk/

First reflexology treatment of 2026. After a six week course of reflexology, my son now has regular monthly treatments. He can’t tell me with words why he likes it but he’s always ready to put his feet up, smiling throughout his treatments and becomes very relaxed - he even fell asleep during a treatment once!

After a year of studying, I am now a fully qualified and insured reflexologist.
