A polite request to all dog owners who walk their dogs on the playing field, please use the dog poo bin at the main gate for your dog poo bags. This bin is emptied by the council.

The other bins are emptied by volunteers and it's not the nicest of jobs even without 50% of it being stinking poo bags.

We're pleased to say that there will be hot air balloon launched from the playing field this afternoon at 5pm. And what a perfect spring afternoon for it.

The PFMC have had to remove the bench from around the tree in the play area due to further vandalism. This is such a pity as the bench was purchased with a bequest left to the playing field. At the moment there are no plans to replace it as vandalism is on the rise.

For some unknown reason someone has decided to remove the large gate on the play area from it's hinges again! We are in the process of arranging for someone to put it back on its hinges at the moment until this is done please avoid the area as it's not safe.

This week will see work start on the steps from the playing field down the bank to Willey Road. For safety reasons this means that the car park area will be closed for a couple of days. Please be patient when this work is carried out.

Thank you

Great to see football return to Stoke St Gregory. A local under 13's team will be using the field for the next season. They will be training regularly and will be playing a few friendlies before the season starts on 5 September.

First friendlies this Thursday evening kick off at 6pm with another on Saturday morning.

We're really pleased that as of Saturday 4 July the play area on the playing field will be open for use.

As per the government guidelines there are some rules that we need to make all users aware of and ask to follow:

1. The play area is an UNSUPERVISED PUBLIC AMENITY. All children must be accompanied by a maximum of one adult who confirm that they accept the potential risks associated with using the equipment. Although we will be regularly cleaning the equipment SSGPFMC cannot guarantee the hygiene of the play equipment.
2. No more than 10 people are allowed in the play area at any one time.
3. One child per piece of equipment unless they are from the same household or ‘bubble’.
4. Please do not use the taped off equipment – it's taped off to ensure that social distancing can be maintained.
5. Social distancing must be maintained in line with the government guidance.
6. Please sanitise yours and your children’s hands before and after using the play equipment, hand sanitiser, wipes and spray will be available. Please feel free to use this but please don’t remove it from the play area.
7. Avoid touching your face, mouth, eyes and nose at all times
8. Users are responsible for their own hygiene if you choose to use the equipment.
9. No food or drink is allowed in the play area – this is to prevent transmission of the virus.
10. Please dispose of all your rubbish in the bin provided or take it home with you
11. On returning home please thoroughly wash yours and your children’s hands for at least 20 seconds.
12. If you or any member of your family is feeling unwell then please stay home.

On another note please can we remind dog walkers to please bag and bin their dogs poo. We're seeing an increase in the amount that is not being picked up!

Please note that the playing field play area is still CLOSED according to government guidance. We will only reopen it once we are told that it is safe to do so. The rest of playing field is available for you all to enjoy.
