The Piddle Wood Plod 10k

It is with a heavy heart we have to inform you that unfortunately the 2026 Piddle Wood Plod 10k will have to be cancelled. A landslide in the woods has closed the trail and the Forestry Commission will not have it fixed in time for the race. The other alternate trail around Orchard Wood is also closed. We are in contact with them and they hope to have it fixed by next year 🤞First COVID, then Dormice, a heatwave and now a landslide! We have been through it all, but will be back!!!

For those that have not been to our race sponsor Perry's Cider orchard and cider mills at Dowlish Wake it’s really worth a visit, great food and amazing gift shop. Through the summer they have some great events which are always extra special.

Can’t wait for this!! Join us for perryscider and local lamb mezze in the beautiful courtyard. 5 to 9. Kids welcome.

We could not put on the run without the support of lots of people, so thanks to all the marshals, the children of Thurlbear CE VA Primary School for decorating all the medals, Stampita our band in the woods, Thurlbear PTA for all the great cakes and a special mention Perry's Cider for their continued support.
